This is my dad. He says, "I...Ugh, ugh, ugh.

This is my dad. He says, "I can't figure out why I'm overweight - I eat the same as your (super, super tiny) mother." Uh, Dad - every time she walks out of the room she does not come back with a handful of nuts, a cookie, or candy. Also, she eats about 1/4 of what you get on your plate and doesn't go back for seconds. Finally, she doesn't live next to the vending machine at work, and her idea of a snack is a cup of tea.

Now, my husband has gained a substantial amount of weight in the last year and hasn't been exercising or depriving himself at all. Also, he picks the worst choices for meals at work. Lately, he's been whining about how 'fat' he is, and this morning told me about a picture he saw of himself that was much thinner than he is now and how fat he felt looking at it. Today was it. I had to say, "I am not trying to be a bitch, but I can't listen to you whine about your weight like a girl if you're not going to do something about it. Plus, it's not good for the kids. You need to stop complaining and start acting like you know how to take care of yourself." Too harsh?-amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04724947347451274216noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3970661341243634764.post-86949136702947628632012-01-17T13:39:48.329-05:002012-01-17T13:39:48.329-05:00I wish I could just hit "like" when I re...I wish I could just hit "like" when I read your posts- especially the comments you tag it with:-).G in Berlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11168975470282994167noreply@blogger.com
