We had to borrow snow equipment from North Georgia. All the bridges in the city were closed. Take a look at the pictures.

Also, in 1985, we set a record low for us. I remember Duval County closing down the schools because it was 8 degrees. Our homes and schools aren't equipped to handle that type of cold.michellinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05034726778989565660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3970661341243634764.post-55594544264924248462009-01-20T17:55:00.000-05:002009-01-20T17:55:00.000-05:00yeah, it's a little nuts around here- the snow day...yeah, it's a little nuts around here- the snow day thing. No actual precipitation of any kind, just too cold for school in Sewanee, TN. Today we have an actual snow day with exactly the same "snow" you have pictured--a very light dusting. Combine this with MLK day and you have a 5-DAY WEEKEND for my 9-year-old, stir-crazy son for which I did not plan. I sent him to the all-day extended school program today. Our school has this for after school and school holidays...it's basically babysitting, but it was send him up to school to be in the program with his buddies, or have a nervous breakdown.hicktowndivahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01951823806122109194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3970661341243634764.post-66379784536500746292009-01-20T10:58:00.000-05:002009-01-20T10:58:00.000-05:00Wow - having grown up in the South I am very famil...Wow - having grown up in the South I am very familiar with Southern snow days, but this one looks unusually ridiculous!wootinihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02806282812786913215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3970661341243634764.post-24120507303506549992009-01-20T10:53:00.000-05:002009-01-20T10:53:00.000-05:00LOL!
