This is one of the pillows Baby & I made last year in Asheville. This kill was actually devastating to her. She came running & screaming out of the playroom. (Why didn't she just take it away?!... we're still working on that with both girls). Making those pillows was a big deal for her. A very special memory. It made me realize that I need to carve out some more time to sew with her. Plus, now we need another pillow...

If she starts doing that to your boughten* throw pillows, am I going to come home to a shallow grave in the yard?

(*boughten: brush up on your Little House lingo)

Puppies if they werent so cute people woud never own dogs, you forget how much they act like manic toddlers. We adopoted a lab/husky mix right before thanksgiving and I feel like I have a newborn all over again up two to three times a night to potty. Yeah so much fun and the chewing well lets just say my kids have learned very quickly you want to keep that toy put it up. I keep repeating he will outgrow this he will outgrow this. Good luck.

Mr F,
you better believe it.

Andrea,
I know! Because she had had puppies (teen mom) I didn't think of her as a 1 year old. But, boy, is she! Canine destroyed everything for quite sometime... of course when he was a puppy it was just me, and I didn't have so many stuffed animals ;)
Plus side?... or house is VERY clean.

I had to laugh at the tag on this, because I remember how many time Canine topped your shit list, even when he was older and crapping on your carpeting! Sometimes life just comes full circle!

Gigs,
It was actually a bit heartwarming to write it. I still miss him, and I think he would be pleased that Sweet pea is just as annoying ;)

Hoping he grows out of that stage fast. :-)

Have you read the children's book about forever dogs? There's a bit in it about how your previous dog guides your new one from doggy heaven and shows him where all the tasty treats are and where the best spots are to bury bones. Perhaps Canine still has a hand (a paw?) in all of this.

Mrs. F,
Go online and look up Kong dog toys. We have a lab (a BIG time chewer) and Kongs have been a lifesaver for everything in my house! Good luck.
