I don't know if she's ever been happier...

Then she was on her ride home after her 1st horseback riding lesson.

She gushed and gushed about it. I thought her grin was going to split her face in half. I had to make her take her riding pants off (the very same pants that had been uncomfortable before the lesson... we're now "So Comfortable!").

A good hour later she wanders up to me at the stove and says as nonchalantly as she could muster...

"Horseback riding was very interesting."

Indeed.

As I went through and editied those photos this morning, I'm not sure if I'D ever been happier. Her joy was just beaming out of my computer screen and overwhelming me.

Absolutely nothing better than the joy of your child. Awesome!

Oh, I love that. Kid really does seem to a horse girl. It seems natural.

That is fantastic about the pants. I remember Murphy had to stop ice skating/hockey because he just could not deal with the helmet with the cage in front. It broke my heart to hear him say that he wants to play hockey, but he just can't because of how he feels in the helmet. Although, financially, I am not too bummed anymore;).

a) I stopped ballet because I couldn't handle the tights. (I was probably five)

b) talk to Carolyn about sending her to BR. It was awesome for her. (I didn't like it as much... but could eventually be really great for Kid.)

Elzabeth,
I went to BR, too. I went for one year only. I liked it... and remember the good things... but I obviously didn't love it or I would have gone back. Of course that was... oh.... um... 25 years ago! When I went it required a bit more self sufficiency than she could handle any time soon. Jamie's girls go every year and absolutely love it, of course they always have each other. I'll definitely talk to C about it.

I didn't know you went! Or that they go. Shows how much I've been paying attention doesn't it? :P
