"Do you miss Dad?" I ask Kid when she gets off the phone.
"Yeah." Kid mumbles.
"Are you ready to move to Michigan and be together?" I ask hopefully.
"Yeah. Things were easier when Dad was here." Kid replies.
"Yeah. But we're doing a good job." I return.
"And you know what? When we move things are going to be a lot better. I won't have to watch kids anymore and I'll have more
time to be with you. And our house won't be on the market and we won't have to clean all the time." I continue.
"That doesn't solve the problem with you and your computer." Kid says dryly.
