The Look Of The Day

More Target Beauties (I Hope!) For You To Behold...

Okay it is kind of hard for me to capture this look in its entirety with my Photo Booth. This is a teal light weight sweater dress and a long crazy bejeweled necklace (which the baby loves by the way... resulting in near strangulation!). Mr F is not a fan of this dress and I was going to return it... but it is so soft and cozy I just had to keep it. I'm not totally sure how to wear it and this is what I had on hand... black slightly bootcut workout leggings and a purple tee (yes... I wish it wasn't a v-neck!). I actually feel reasonably cutting edge in a new "Hobo Chic" sort of way.

Which one is that? Is that the one I thought looked like a robe? It looks good in the pics...

What the hell do I know, anyway?

no I returned that one. This one does kind of look like a nightgown...

I'll be on the lookout for hobo chic on my way home...you know who I'm talking about...

Whenever you post a picture of yourself I'm always like, It's Rachel Weiss!! (And I am really hoping you don't hate Rachel Weiss)

You do look very trendy. (I cannot do tops like that though, they totally remind me WAY too much of maternity tops and I end up sucking in or sticking my chest out just to make SURE no one thinks I'm prego).

Katieo,

oooh that's fantastic! I actually was watching the Constant Gardener a while back and kind of thought I might look like her but then forgot to ask Mr F what he thought. I've always wanted to have a famous doppleganger!

and I hear you on the faux maternity... I made a terrible purchase this summer that really made me look pregs (something you definitely do not want to look 7 months pp!). This does make me look wide (hence the side shot and up close only :) but I think the weight of it keeps the tummy slim looking... hopefully!

Don't worry, the weight of the dress does make it hang in a sliming fashion, so it's all good. And I understand your reasons for saying hobo chic because it does have that kind of pesant dress cut. By the way I love it with the necklace.

Thanks Jasmine... I was kind of worried I might not find the right thing to wear the necklace with but this worked out since the length of the dress didn't make the long necklace seem to ridiculous. With just a shirt I feel like I look like I'm trying to hard.

Do you know who Rachel Weiss is... do you think I look like her?

I agree about the necklace, and I don't know who Rachel Weiss is so I'm googling her right now. Google is my answer to life.

Oh my God you do look like her, it must be the eyes with the eyebrows or something. She's pretty.

I think Marley (youngest neice) looks more like her than I do since they don't have the "beauty marks"

Yeah I can totally see that too.
Well I'm logging off. Goodnight I love you.

I can see that. Having never seen you in person, it's hard to judge exactly.

As for the dress, I'm unqualified to comment.

It's Weisz

It seems the men are not in favor of this look ;)

where the hell is Michelline?

*waves* Here I am!

Anyway, if you want my honest opinion (keeping in mind it's hard to get a real idea from a picture) I really don't like it. It might be the leggings and tee, though. The color is pretty on you and I do like the necklace, but I'm not a fan of the overall look. I don't like the sleeves (they would and do make anyone's arms look less than appealing) and I'm not a fan of the maternity look. I think it might be cute just as a dress with a BLACK turtleneck, tights, and boots, though :)

Survival instincts kicking in?

Chicken.

completely agree about the arms... although in real life it doesn't look as bad as with the computer's camera. I was thinking tights and boots... which involves more shopping...
