You know what they say about lemons and lemonade...
Well here we are stuck inside (and since today should have been a shopping day keep in mind that means I'm out of my essential treats!) while Baby naps away upstairs. But fear not... due to my excellent hoarding skills I happen to have a box full of simple unfinished wooden odds and ends I purchased... oh... a good thirteen years ago.
Sixty minutes of quality time later and I present you with the first Easter decorations of the season:

So cute! Yeah, My kids were making crazy collages this morning with all of the tons of art stuff I have stashed all over, it kept them busy for a long while and it was free ;) Kid is such a cutie, you can see that mischievous twinkle in her eyes.
Emmy,
you are not going to believe what she just did!!! I'm saving it up for tomorrow... this has to be the funniest stunt she has pulled to date... stay tuned.
Mischievous... um.... Yep.
Cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute.
BTW, tag you're it. :)

Most impressive. Must feel good to have used the hoarded wood egg holders after so many years!
Haley,
Oh Sweet Jesus
Julie,
the real question is why did I buy wooden egg cups in the first place?
Muwahahahaha!
I LOVE arts and crafts day...I have so much of that junk (I mean stuff) in my closet!
The talents just keep coming. When will the madness end?
Very cute idea.
Hey Katy,
thanks for commenting! :)
Wow... triathlons huh?
Yeah I love the crafting. I can't wait till the girls are both old enough to participate in a way that is a touch less anxiety provoking ;)
P.O.M,
what I lack in innate organizational abilities I more than make up for in crafty ways to procrastinate ;)
Hope you are enjoying Fiji!
Mrs. F, I think I need to go to Michaels and get some crafty supplies...looks like so much fun!!! Kid is very artistic, I love the use of color!!! Can't wait to see what she was up to on tomorrow's post!!!
Kiki,
OMG I am bursting at the seams.... as I just told Mr F "it will live up to the hype"
so cute!! you really, really had these things sitting around for years? wow..
You bought wooden egg cups, because you thought they would be adorable on the table at Easter brunch. I'm sure I read the same back issue of Martha Stewart Living, even though I have never once hosted an Easter brunch.
Shirls,
is your amazement at my hoarding skills or my providence?
Deb,
I actually have hosted Easter brunch when Kid was the Ambassador's age for all her little friends... if only I had remembered to use these wooden egg cups it would have been truly memorable ;)
