Well done! But I have to ask... what are those puffy pants? Snow things??

Dare I tell you Libby went swimming in the pool Saturday night? (Which BTW is a freezing 67 degrees... brr!!)

Yep those would be snow pants. It's starting to warm up and I wanted to start packing that stuff up... but then the temps dropped again. It's 32 right now and there is still some snow on the ground.
Kid needed to wear a snowsuit last year to the Easter Egg hunt and it's looking like that might happen again this year...

Can you go get on the treadmill? It seems like working out sorta reframes everything for me. Maybe it would help you feel like things are perpetually on hold.

Blame the weather on me. I briefly considered packing away my snow boots this weekend, thinking, "I won't need THOSE again this year." Yeah. It's been snowing since about 6am.

That was me. In a MILLION years, my husband would never consider packing anything away.

Deb,
I did the same thing this weekend. Got all the winter stuff in a big pile ready to pack up... the next day it was freezing again. You'd think I'd know the drill around here by now... it isn't even Spring yet!

Sorry the homeschool fair was a bust, I have actually never been to one of those things, I kind of just go with what I think looks good and so far that has been working out. My kids wanted to go to the park today, we were really brave and lasted a whole whopping 15 minutes before I ordered them back to the car, they all have cabin fever so bad though.

Emmy,
I think I'm just going to go with the Sonlight. They had a booth but didn't have the curriculum for the lower grades. I did manage to still spend $50 on Usborn books... completely unrelated to homeschooling (of course).

Last week's warm up is making this week seem all the more depressing...

I know, I got out and took a wlak outside and I was just so freakin mad when it got cold again. I love the Usborne books, there are actually quite a few of them in the Sonlight reading lists ;) It is so grey today I just want to scream. I am in serious need of a sunny vacation.

I have totes with summer stuff in them, I had Ken pull them out and guess ...it got cold HERE!!! I had to go hunting for a sweater because I had started switching out the clothes!!! UGH! Not to mention the damn tornado warnings.

OMG! I didn't know anyone else felt the same way about TJ Maxx! I despise that place. People all over the place are like Oh, look what I got at TJ Maxx, $3.00. Oh I got this at TJ Maxx, $5.00. I have never found anything at TJ Maxx! Is that with one X or 2? Hm. Anyway, I can't ever even figure out which rack has chick stuff on it! Actually, I found a pair of sun glasses there once and a week later lost the screw, dropped them when the arm thingy fell off and stepped on them. So, yeh. TJM, not my thing.

Funny, I was just writing how much crap I have to do. You are right, you just can't add any extra crap to a holiday week. It sets up for failure.

About the home school thing. Have you actually gone and talked with your school district to see what they require? I have definate opinions on the whole home school thing due to working in a school district, but opinions don't really matter. First things first, you need to make sure you meet the schools requirements .. then move on from there as to what you want to do above and beyond. Start simple. It is a HUGE process. Not so much probably at kids young age though.

Take it easy Mrs. F! :o)

Kiki,
I hope those pesky tornados pass you by!

Cara,
yes I really need to walk away from all this stuff and just get back to it next week.

Jennifer,
Kindergarten is not required so there isn't any required curriculum or standards.

Wow. Here are pics of our Easter Party on the 15th. It was at our house, so the yard you see is mine :) Put some pics up of hunting for eggs in the snow? I can only imagine how difficult that would be, but also how fun!

Michelline,
LOL... we do our egg hunt indoors ;)
