This Time We Were Prepared

Which means that this time I headed out to the grocery store and stocked up on completely unnecessary ready to eat junk foods. You know... just in case... we lost power and heat and we didn't have any Rosemary and Olive Oil Triscuits to see us through it. I don't know what came over me. Some kind of mindmeld from all the other paranoia filled Southerners crowding the aisles and cramming their carts with ridiculous amounts of non-perishables. I left there with nothing but MSG laden snack food and managed to blow an entire week's grocery budget on it.

You mean you aren't making French Toast?

I hear this is the Southern Thing To do when it snows.

I mean that must be what people are going to do with all that milk, bread and eggs they're buying right?

It's been tech week and I'm almost out of food AND gas, and my car needs an oil change...

I wonder if the grocery store is even open?

What is up with all of the snow down there? My friend in Nashville just had another snow day. We want more snow up here in the North East for skiing!!!

I have never met a cracker I didn't like. The whole grain Wheat Thins are insane.

Elizabeth,
EVERYTHING is closed here. It is completely ridiculous.

Julie,
It's awesome. It makes winter so much more bearable.

Claire,
We are definitely getting the better end of the weather system. I'm so happy the kids are getting a fun weekend outside.

Deb,
Dude, I got the whole grain Wheat Thins!

Sometimes you just need comfort food. Enjoy the snow. We are craving it here.
