The Food Nanny

Seen it?

I have a love/hate relationship going on with it.

Love that it is on at 11 PM when there is nothing else on.

Hate that her voice is like that. (hate might be a strong word)

She's a bit much to take in... but I keep hoping it will inspire me to get back to meal planning.

And... yes... I know it's on BYU television.

What can I say?

I take my interests all the way.

P.S. If you imagine that she is Amy Sedaris doing an act it makes the whole thing a lot more enjoyable. A lot.

i have never even heard of the show!

Your label cracked me up.

Kind of wish I had a food nanny here to rough me up a bit.

Julie,
I think if you are not watching BYU TV there is no possible way to have heard of it. The website is actually a pretty good tool and it's free. I have a little addiction to BYU TV... I think I might be the only person in the world that watches it. It just tickles me.

Kiki,
I don't know if we had BYU in NC, or if it just never occurred to me to check. Our new DirecTV has it... yet not most of the channels I actually want to watch... go figure. I would love to hear what a convert thought of everything and why they chose to convert. Fascinating indeed.

Trust me, your Jello-skills alone could get you into the Celestial Kingdom! (I hope no one takes offense to that one)

I actually asked her why she converted since she attended a Presbyterian church and had been brought up by a Baptist mother....because truthfully, in the South, they don't convert that many. But her sister became a Mormon at college, converted by a room mate and then she converted their mother who then married a Mormon man. In the meantime my employee, who had not converted yet, was having MAJOR issues in her marriage, as in they were breaking up and so she went to stay with her mom and step dad in Louisiana....while there she converted. When I asked her why, she said because she could go into any Mormon church and ask them what they believed and they would answer the same thing every time.

I could overanalyze the whole situation but the truth is, she has the right to do what she wants and choose what religion she wants.....of course now she is back with her Baptist husband who absolutely REFUSES to convert. And she's pregnant with their second child.

Oh, its going to get interesting. I'll keep you posted!!

I couldn't stand listening to her voice long enough to decide if what she was babbling about was worth it.

Smoochie,
her voice is unbearable. It's not worth it. I do like the website... voice free ;)
