Bob said...: I grew up cutting my family's 2 acres of grass on a lawn tractor every weekend. It took 2.5 hours.

In college I worked for a lawn mowing company. I would cut our grass with a zero-turn in 45 minutes.

Alexandra said...: My grandfather's hobby in his retirement (one of them) was buying old riding mowers at auctions and yard sales and fixing them up. There was never a shortage of old mowers that he would then "let" me and my brother use to cut their huge lawn with (3 acres?). We thought it was great fun ... and so did they, for reasons unbeknownst to us at the time.
