So we heard back on our offer today. Wouldn't you know that after sitting on the market for 4 months that they would get two offers on the same freaking day?!?! Of course there trying to instigate a bidding war and I'm just not feeling it. I mean the house is not the "perfect" house. We've countered halfway in between and if the other buyer beats us out then so be it... it wasn't meant to be.

its the truth.. if it doesn't happen its not meant to be. something ten times better will come up later if this doesn't happen, just watch.. someone'll move or something. there's always a bigger plan. i'll pray for you, girl. i'm sure the stress is horrible... atleast you aren't stuck with the inlaws.. FOR FOUR MONTHS!!!!!!!lol.. see, it could always be worse.
titus,
"atleast you aren't stuck with the inlaws.. FOR FOUR MONTHS!!!!!!!lol.. see, it could always be worse."
LOL!!! That would definitely be worse ;)
Oh, for f*ck's sake. What is going on in that city? I'm starting to lean toward the side of the debate that says renting isn't a bad idea. Just put all your stuff in storage, sleep on bare mattresses and keep your clothes in laundry bins. No toys for the kids. You know, simplify things a little.
Tell Mr. F that I'm happy to come to Ann Arbor to help pack, but you're definitely going to want to get me there before I hit that crucial 16-week window. Oh, wait, that's tomorrow. Darn.
Good attitude! If it's not meant to be it's just not.
Deb,
No worries I'm getting the whole house packed... it wasn't even 1K more to have everything packed vs just the fragiles so we're doing it. Plus it's getting reimbursed anyway.
Good for you! I love having the house packed professionally. It makes life so much easier. Tell them you want them to list EVERYTHING in the box on the outside, not just a vague description like "decor". It will make unpacking go more quickly.
I hope everything works out the way it should for you:) If that's not the house for you, then, it's not the house for you. These things tend to just fall into place:) A little more time to look around may not be a bad idea, either. Who knows? I guess you will tomorrow:)
Kenady,
Yeah that's how I feel about it. They have to let us know by 8 PM... so we should know fairly soon.
I'm a huge dog lover, but I can completely see where two kids and a poopy dog is just way too much. And he may be happier and get more attention in another home. If you're not really attached to him, I'd give him away. You can always get another dog for kid and baby when they get older.
BTW -- I really like the new house. It looks a lot like your current house --warm and cozy. Good luck with the move!
Marilyn,
I've had him for 9 years and obviously I care for him... but the day in and day out is just too much with him now and with the move?! It just brings out his annoying traits all the more.
We left a note at the boarders and if anyone responds will think about it... if not... I guess I'll start reading that Cesar Millan book ;)
