You Know How I Hate To Complain...

But..

This is day FREAKING four of severe gastroenteritis.

I haven't been able to keep anything in me... not solids... not fluids.

My brain feels like it is in a vice.

My stomach is in knots.

And my rear end is in need of a plug.

Supermom,
For the love of God... STAY AWAY!!!
Seriously, I couldn't put anyone in risk of getting this. You'd hate me.

Oh no!! Based on your heathcare situation you might need to get to a dr. ASAP!! You can't keep this up and care for Baby....you are usually not sick this long, can you tell if you are on the upswing of being sick or still in the valley of it??

Kiki,
I can't tell. I woke up feeling a little better head wise (like I could think clearly). I was hoping that maybe things were moving through but then I haven't kept anything down today either.
Mr F has been sick too and it is definitely a longer virus than the norm... but he has been able to work the last two days and is doing better than I am.
If I can't keep anything in today then tomorrow morning I'm going to get Mr F to take me to Urgent Care.
I'm drinking Gatorade & eating bananas to keep my potassium and electrolytes up ...although since I'm not keeping it in my system I don't know if it's helping.
I did tell Mr F that I cannot drive and pick up Kid from school... it would be like putting a drunk on the road!

On the upside that is more than I've been able to type in days! So maybe I am getting better :)

Your need for a hiney plug eliminates the question I keep asking my sick girlfriends (i.e., are they pregnant -- two have turned up with positives on their sticks). I hope you feel better soon. I vote for an ER visit for some anti-nausea meds. Hugs -- you know, from a distance and all.

Oh man. That is the worst. It does seem to be hanging out longer than your typical stomache bug.

Hope you feel better soon.

Take care, Mrs F.

So sorry. We have the same thing in MI. Spencer missed 6 days of school (sick for 9 days), Owen had it (his was not as long)and Laney is in the bathroom as we speak. Unbelievable bug! Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks all... it has been ROUGH!

Heather,
Oh poor kiddos... poor Spencer! I don't think I could live through 9 days of this. I hope AJ is spared.

Oh, Mrs. F...I feel so helpless and wish there was SOMETHING I could do....this is one nasty bug....when we first moved here Carter got 'roto' virus and then I had it right afterwards-it was AWFUL...I had never even heard of it before this but it sounds very similar to what you are experiencing now. Feel better soon....honestly, unless you start to feel dehyrdated, I'm not sure the Dr. can do anything so you may want to save your strengh and copay!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear you are SOOOO sick. It's going around here too. My oldest son had it this week too. 5 days strong...he just went back to school today.

My nephew has it too...Urgent care told my sister it was a strong strain of influenza...nothing to be done but wait it out. :(

Hope tomorrow is a better day.

Hope you feel better soon! (it took me five days when I had it in February, so you're almost there!)
