This Is What It Has Come To...

Current (soon to be BEFORE shots... God willing):

I've got a workout routine that I like. I've got a whole bunch of trash lined up on the TIVO.

Theoretically, nothing should stop me.

Hey, next thing you know I might start putting up meal plans...

(Please note: we did not decorate that bathroom)

Wish I would have read this before having that handful of white chocolate chips for breakfast (I don't even like white chocolate chips).

Bring it on Mrs. F, the badass is still in there. Can't wait to see the progression shots.

Off topic, but decided to watch Downton Abbey the other day on Netflix..remembered you saying it was good but I couldnt find it on our channels. Well, starting episode 4 and I am HOOKED on this family!!

Already put the Bramwell (??) series in the instant que to watch next... Feel free to post any other good shows you come across!! :)

Masterpiece Classics also did a current version of Upstairs Downstairs, which is similar to Downton Abbey in the wealthy/household aspect but takes places during the whole King's Speech era. I don't know if that has made it to Netfilx yet, though.

Also highly recommend Atonement (disk only)and
I Capture the Castle which is live streaming!

I feel like I had watched a whole other british series but I can't remember... I'll think on it. Often Netflix just recommends them to me... they know me so well ;)

I've been a reader for awhile. I recently looked back through your weight loss posts--and I have to say, you insired me. Our stories sound similiar. I always was in the 115-120 range. Then I had a baby (almost 3 yrs ago mind you). And I think I must be hovering around...well, more than that. I am quite active--running around 30 miles a week. It's my damn diet. And more specifically sweets. I definitely had convinced myself that my body simply changed. I will never be smaller again. I was also in denial of my weight gain just because I can still fit in (some) of my pre-baby size 4 clothes. But you have given me hope that I can indeed change my body. I plan a weigh-in two months down the road--hoping to drop at least 5 lbs by then (I simply cannot handle seeing where I am at on a scale right now). Maybe more. Thanks for the motivation. Good luck on your jourey!

Amy,
I'm with you! that sounds very much like my story. Sadly... I'm living it all over again! I do think it's possible to change, it might take more work then I'd like... but I know it's achievable. This time, I'm not going to take it for granted and will keep it up.

Bring on the badass, Mrs. F! You have inspired me so much. Before I discovered your blog, like Amy, I just believed my body had changed after kids and would never really be thin again.

Well. It has taken me a few years of reading your blog to really, finally make the commitment, but since May I have been hardcore calorie counting and working out, and am down nearly 30lbs! And planning to go further. And truly it is because of you that I believed it to be possible. Folks, everything she says regarding weight loss is right on. Thank you Mrs F!

Holy Crap, Wootini! That is amazing!!
and thank you for the props :) It really is just the commitment part that is so hard to come by. I've been doing some really crazy long cardio stuff lately... and I'm still a believer.

Crazy long cardio is awesome... and really Mrs. F I don't know how to express the impact that seeing your success had for me. Believing is everything.

For me the key has also been being very strict with food, boring as all get out but I'll take it over the alternative.

And also accepting that I will need to do some form of calorie tracking/mindful eating forever. That people like my SIL can eat whatever they want and be a size 2, but I can't and I never will, and that is just the way the cookie crumbles, as it were. :)

Is it weird that what I was looking at was how long your hair was????!!!!

My sister, cousin and I are all committed to losing 20-ish lbs by Christmas....there may be money riding on it-ugh!!! I only mention it because you inspired me the first time to lose the 40 lbs so I'm glad I'll be in it with you!!!
