This Week The Plan

Well I've learned something pretty interesting about myself this past week. When I don't have set exercise goals I actually workout more! Go figure. So I'm going to be changing that section of my plan up to be a lot less defined and see if it continues to work. This week went well for the meal planning and I have not wasted ANY produce... which has got to be a first so I'm pretty excited about that. I've been paying a lot more attention to what we have and finding ways to work it into our meals. That one zucchini straggler at the bottom of the drawer? He got grated up and thrown in the kids apple muffins... Which instantly negated all the calories and I promptly ate three! For those of you who have been sitting on the edge of your seats really concerned about my inexplicable weight gain... fear not... I'm back below 112. Whew! Oh and anybody wondering about the carpet and the blanket? Yes, my friends, it was the blanket that was shedding all over the rug. It has now been relegated to the basement couch.

Okay on to this week...

Menu:

Monday - Cornflake Crusted Tilapia w/ Citrus Salad

Tuesday - Salmon Noodle Casserole w/ Applesauce

Wednesday - Tomato & Meatball Soup w/ Crescent Rolls

Thursday - Sauteed Chicken Breasts w/ Spanish Rice & Southwestern Salad

Friday - Take out

Saturday - Go out

Sunday - Shrimp & Veggie Lo mein

Diet & Exercise:
I'm going to continue to calorie count and try to be more mindful of my vegetation consumption. I'm also going to take a Magnesium supplement everyday. On the workout front I'm just going to workout as much as I can... you can track it over in the sidebar if you're interested.

Chores & Errands:

Monday - pay bills, fold laundry

Tuesday - Grocery Shopping

Wednesday - vacuum

Thursday - Kid's conference, returns

Friday - vacuum upstairs

Saturday & Sunday - attack Cubby O' Shame!

Also I'm going to work to maintain my desk, the closet, and the kitchen on a daily basis!

I do a menu weekly but I think I am going to steal your idea of matching a task or tasks to each day and see how that works for me. :)

Cubby O' Shame looks fab. I'm impressed.

Sounds like a good plan for the week :-)

Glad to see you are back to where you are comfortable (re: weight gain).

I bought a TON of produce this weekend and the goal is to consume all of it by Sunday. I hope I can be as good as you! :-)

Nice job on the produce.

I'm finding it hard to work veg into the day without ending up having to eat like.. 2 cups of vegetables at dinner and it's only been 2 days! You can't really eat veggies at breakfast unless you have an omelet.

Good luck this week with your tasks! I'm hoping to do better with the dining room table (which currently has diapers drying all over it.)

I didn't realize your weight had started to creep. Hmmm, wonder how I missed that. Anyway, glad you are back on track! congrats on figuring out the exercise thing.

SFG,
I don't always get my chore done... but I am much more mindful of trying to get something done each day then I was before.

Cara,
"Glad to see you are back to where you are comfortable"
Dude... you and me both ;)

Nutmeg,
I typically do eat 2 c of veggies with dinner. I'm trying to get fruit when I cut it up for Kid and put baby greens in my sandwiches. It seems so easy I don't know why I wasn't doing it before?!

Robin,
do you remember that I was trying to eat more protein? Well my weight went up 3 pounds. If I get my period tomorrow I'll know it was more hormonal than not... but this week I cut it back down and started calorie counting and I got it back down. I think I was eating close to 500 extra calories a day : apple & 2 T PB (265) and an extra 1/2 sandwich (250) just trying to up the protein count!

We sat down on Saturday and planned out our meals. Then Saturday night we decided that fish didn't really sound that good for dinner Sunday night, and we should change it to blueberry waffles. Mid-day Sunday I got a crazy taco salad craving, and that's what we had.

So er, on the planning, we ah, are still working on it.

Mrs. Furious,

I just started reading your blog! I love it! You are the kind of mom I aspire to be--you know when I have a significant other :) Where can I find your stats on your page-you look small like me :) How many calories do you shoot for/day? I'm sure you've answered this many times but where do find this information?

Thanks for your blog!

SawSaw,
Thanks for your nice comment! :)
I weigh between 109-112 and I'm 5'3". I'm eating around 2000 calories. I have some stats on the left hand side about half way down the page. I'm having a really hard time getting my food diary page element to work so that's down for the time being. I am breastfeeding though so I might be able to eat a bit more than someone who isn't. And last week I did 5 hours of cardio.

Heather,
LOL. Yeah the cravings might make meal planning a bit difficult until you aren't pregs anymore.
