If there was a Mother's Worst Case Scenario Handbook...
This would certainly rank in the Top 10:
Yes... That would be neighborhood construction that inexplicably starts right as you put your baby down for a nap.

That sucks. Also annoying is the neighbor who insists on mowing the lawn at 7 am on a Saturday morning!
Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
is it really wrong to look at that picture and think
1. that is such a cute house!
and
2. things are actually growing there, lucky people..
neither of those thoughts though are what you were going for right? laugh..
don't even get me started. remember, nate's bedroom is RIGHT NEXT to the construction. Like feet away. Nate could probably almost high five the dude. and yes this was going on during his nap time. and i swear to God he hit my house with shit every 30 minutes. URGH. oh, and notice the construction only happened during nap time...not before or after. just during. fuckers.
:-)
Our lawn people show up during nap time...always. Grrrr.
Suzy,
"the neighbor who insists on mowing the lawn at 7 am on a Saturday morning! "
Yes... we have one of those too!
Shirls,
Way to be a PollyAnna! ;)
Angie,
"notice the construction only happened during nap time...not before or after. just during. fuckers."
um ... yes I freaking noticed!
Seriously that was so loud I thought it was at the Jones' until I came downstairs!
Robin,
It's like they all have a sixth sense... bastards!
Sorry about that!
We have 59 houses going in 4 houses from us which used to be a dead end......ahhhhhhhhhhh
anyways...changing the subject...I'm finally making your tomato and meatballs. can't wait to try it
Sunshine Mom,
Yikes 59! That is a nightmare!
I hope you guys enjoy your dinner :)
I have 3 completely unrelated questions:
1. Can you recommend a book about vaccines? Is the Sears book good?
2. Do I need a breastfeeding book, or just go with a class and bring in a lactation consultant if needed?
3. Where can you find the Sun Guard stuff for $1.99? I found it for much more, but couldn't find it for that price. Help!
Hey Heather, excuse me for butting in, but "The Nursing Mother's Companion" helped me tremendously. You can find it HERE.
The breastfeeding class I attended was pretty useless, but I imagine not all of them are, so I would take one. The lactation consultants in the hospital were good. I didn't need one after that, but my friend was able to work through some issues with the help of an LC. The book was really invaluable to me, and I think that may be why I didn't need to use an LC after I left the hospital.
Heather - let me know if you want the book. I'll send you mine. I won't need it anymore. :(
Heather,
I sent you an email with all the details.
Thanks Robin! I'll send you my address!
And thanks Mrs. F for the email!
