Aww I love baby's hat. And she looks just like YOU in that picture. Those girls are so adorable!

Wow, I had no idea how beautiful the Great Lakes were.

Have a great time. Your girls look as cute as ever.

I totally look forward to you going hard-ass on the eating/exercise thing. I need to get on board with you!

The Great Lakes are indeed great. At least up there...

As an East Coast ocean kid, I had no idea what to expect the first time I went up to the cottage. It kicks the hell out of the Connecticut shore, and rivals the Cape. Less surf than the ocean, but no salt.

I want to smooch my monitor! I miss those girls.

Are you in the "U.P."? I worked at a camp in Bay Cliff, close to Marquette one summer. Loved it.

No, Empire (where the cottage is) is in Leelenau County, just south of Sleeping Bear Dunes. If you are looking at Michigan as a hand (you know, mitten-shaped and all) the cottage is almost at the top of your pinky.

I added a map.

I just noticed the matching swimsuits...

Is that Jasmine cranking the Monster Energy drink?

I haven't been to any part of Lake Erie that looks like that. It's like an ocean view up there in MI.

Wow - as an Atlantic coast girl I have to say I am impressed - those are beautiful photos! Love the brief story of the airplane flights - and the "coup de grace" of having to change seats - aughhh!
