Is that you dream about the Amish.

I thought you might be interested to hear that my mom and I just had a major Amish (or perhaps Mennonite?) sighting! My parents live in NC on the Outer Banks, and my family and I are here on vacation for the week. Mom and I took our dog for a long morning walk, on the grounds of the Wright Brothers Memorial. And a very large group of Amish/Mennonite tourists was also visiting! They were so friendly and cheerfully acknowledged our greetings. What do you know about the difference between Amish and Mennonites? Both men and women were traditionally dressed, with all the women wearing white caps and nearly all the men wearing straw hats. The men had long beards as well. When talking to one another, they were definitely not speaking English - it was a little hard to tell but it sounded like German. The group was all older men and women with 2 teenage boys - no girls or smaller children/infants. It looked like the group had come to the site in a tour bus.
