Breaking The Cycle

So this week has been bad on a number of fronts.
Most of them I can't control... but the diet and exercise I can. I'm getting back on board. I'm going to focus on that as the place in my life that I can see improvements. By next week I can feel better about something. I can be proud of myself again.

Good for you for focusing on the things you can control! I know you'll feel better once you can work some frustrations out on the treadmill -- it's a sanity saver for sure.

Did you see my post about peanut butter? I'm so mad. I remember you told me early on to stop eating it, but no, the allergist gave me full clearance. So eat it I did. Dammit all to hell.

Yeah I saw that. I think it is one of those things where not all doctors are as "proactive" as others. It'll be fine. I ate pb all through Kid's pregnancy before I knew about it.

i hope things get better for you rachel. we are actually considering a move ourselves and your experience is freaking me out. only we're considering a move to a VERY small town where the nearest commercialism is 2 hours away. anyway, i think your idea is a great one. you have to focus on the positives and at least you'll feel good about yourself even if you don't love where you're living. i wish i lived there because i'd just come visit you and you'd at least have a friend closeby!

I hear sabotage is totally in my eating and I beat myself up everytime...I'm really trying to keep healthy choices in the house and nothing that makes me fall flat on my face. It's not always perfect, but I keep trying. Just like you!!

I think it's a great plan to focus on your health/diet. I'm so sorry that you are having such a hard time with the move. It's such a big stress even under the best of circumstances.

Don't do it ;)
No, things will work out... eventually. I really forgot how hard the first part of a move is. I can now remember that I felt like this in Ann Arbor too... but there I had a much bigger social safety net.

thank you.
I'm really wishing we had to decided to homeschool this year. I'd be at a Airstream dealership RIGHT NOW ;) Maybe next year....

This week I'm making a meal plan! 2 weeks ago I did it and I stuck to the diet... last week I conveniently forgot and I gained it all back. I don't know how many times I have to learn that lesson ;)
I've also got to find my snacks so I stop baking stuff!

That's exactly what it is. Moving really is a major stress. MAJOR. And you just can't prepare yourself for that or you won't do it!
