I'm Not Messing Around

I'll be back with something more profound ... or at least try... later on. First I'm off to go break a hip on the Civic Center ice rink.

But here are the highlights:

I ate 8 iced sugar cookies yesterday... for a snack.... enough is enough.
I'm done with the treats.

I'm going to be in the best shape of my life in 3 months. That is my pledge to you.
Stay tuned for before pics and measurements.

I am working out for 60 minutes every freaking day for 14 straight days to get myself back in the game.

I am calorie counting (for real this time) and sticking to 1500 calories. My one exception is vegetation. I'm not counting the calories of fruit or vegetables. Butter and oil on said vegetables?... yes.

I'm making 2 week challenges at a time.

Play along... or just wait and see what can happen in 3 months.

I'm with you! Maybe not the BEST shape of my life, but certainly way better than right now. :)

I'm purging the house of holiday trimmings right now, and climbing back on the wagon after a 5 pound gain. Blech. Bring on the new year!

I am SO playing along. I started today! Found a helpful website and a pill to get me there. (I have 100 pounds to lose people...) So, the plan right now is 1800 calories a day and 15 grams of fat/meal, 50/day. And I am calling my gym as soon as I finish my lunch. Gotta get started. Gonna track on my blog too. Keep ya posted.

I would love tips on helpful exercises at home, in case I can't fit the gym into the budget right now...

As I just finished a mini cinnabon for my mid-morning snack, I am with you. Gawd.

I'm reading the Beck Diet Solution -- fascinating insights about self-sabotage.

Operation Hot Mama (post-wean) starts Jan. 5. I'm excited.

I'm with you Mrs. F.

Is it bad that I intentionally bought my husband clothes for Christmas that are just a wee bit snug? They'll fit him after paying attention to his health for a couple of weeks. Today: he's doing "Twenty-One" and I'm heading off to the treadmill for an hour.

Alright ladies... you know I'm bringing it!

Me, Myself and I,
I rely on my treadmill at home... it is the only way I know I will consistently workout. Any barrier to me and the workout, i.e. having to drive somewhere, and I won't succeed. I've had pretty good luck with the FIT cable channel.... do you have that? Plus Shirls trainer has all sorts of DVDs... and since it's the stuff Shirls does we know it works! I'll keep thinking and share what I find.

P/F,
"Is it bad that I intentionally bought my husband clothes for Christmas that are just a wee bit snug? "
LOL!!! I actually got Mr F to exercise today... more than a challenge ;)

Hey Mrs. F -- I just linked on my blog to an interesting article about the challenges of maintaining weightloss, which I thought might interest you.

Probably all stuff you already know, but some of it was new to me...like a tendency to regain in the tummy, even if you were previously a pear (what I'm experiencing currently...).

Haley,
Interesting.
I'm an apple so I always gain in my stomach... but I just did my measurements and I was surprised that is was all below the bust to my thighs... typically my whole torso gains the same cushion. So it is definitely more in the tummy than ever before.

I am totally with you!! But I'm waiting until Jan. 1 to get hardcore. :P

Can't wait to see the transformation.

OMG! Superdad just watched your video, ran to get me so I could watch it. He said, "omg, she is ME (superdad) and you are like mr f.". I am a huge late night snacker and I laugh at the mention of exercise!! I am flattered. I could have been compared to someone I didn't like.

I am with Mr F on the bike thing. Sorry Mrs F. It is winter. Ha Ha.

Supermom,
Oh that's funny.

It's 60 out. I'm not sure that winter is a valid excuse ;)

Off to ice skate again... Kid really got into it. Sure we only made 4 laps in an hour but whose counting ;)

Robin,
I'm putting up the pics today.

And I re measured and I gained about an inch all around. Wah!

Okay, you got me on that one!!

Does this mean I have to go walk around the lake??

Mumbling...

Way to scare the nursing baby by making me laugh, people!

I'm on board with the plan, because I already vowed that this baby is the last and the baby fat goes out the window with the baby gear. I don't know that I can commit to the best shape of my life, because I will never race again, but I'm going to have rock hard abs by summer. I'll start as soon as I'm cleared for exercise, and I've already got photos ready for posting on the blog as I catalog this whole trip. Nice to know I won't be alone!!

BTW, we call this an "Old Year's Resolution" when you make it before New Year's Eve.
