But there were some huge storms that blew through here yesterday afternoon. And apparently they knocked down some big trees which knocked down some power lines. Ours were among them.
Im in Greenville SC and yesterday those storms knocked my Grandma's power out. when it came back on her TV blew out and her oven now comes on at full power by itself! Those storms yesterday were horrible but at least the drought we have had is getting better...our lakes aren't just big mudholes anymore!
Mrs F...I havent heard of the magazine "G", but I dont have a lot of time to read anything but labels. Is that something local? I will have to try to pick up a copy!
BsOnlyToots, We have just recently discovered Sonic.. and now we're kind of abusing it ;)
The kids had a blast last night... they were kind of keyed up and nervous (you forget how dark DARK really is when there are no lights on in your whole area) but they made the most of it.
I'm on the Buncombe county/ Madison county line. I too was thinking tornado. I grabbed my cat,Ginger and my dog Pepper and headed to my parents basement since I don't have a basement. We are lucky no trees are down but have a bunch of big limbs in our yards. In 1991 a wind tunnel came through and laid down 3 whit pines into my parents house. We have since cut most of the soft wood type trees near our houses.

Welcome to the south...now, if only you could come a little further south. :)
Thank God the Sonic drive-in had power last night ;)
We walked down there with our flashlights and loaded up on dessert and then headed back.

Kelly,
I didn't know you were so close. Mr F works both here and in Greenville. Have you ever seen that magazine "G"? That's his.
Oh yeah the storms were CRAZY. I started to think we might have been inside a tornado for a bit there.

Kelly,
Yeah it's a magazine for Greenville... but it's pretty new. I'll send you a copy if you email me your address. It's kind of expensive.
LOVE that pic & glad all is ok now .. YUMMY sonic dessert!

Ah, yes, Mrs F you are becoming a southerner yet... a total lust relationship with sonic.
Now, if you want to eat something that will totally ruin your diet but will taste awesome....
You have to have one of these three things:
Lemon berry cream slush (strawberry lemonade slushy with vanilla ice cream- mmm)
Number two with both, just the sandwich. (a supersonic cheeseburger with mayo and mustard- tastes so much better than mickey d's)
finally, the southern counterpart to the cream cheese peppers:
cheddar peppers with ranch to dip.. (lava hot cheddar cheese in jalapenos, battered and fried)
Ah, the joys of death. :D
That is the sweetest little face I've ever seen!
