Short Lived

Well that break didn't turn out exactly as I had planned it.

Kid's got the stomach flu (let's hope that is what it is... she's got her party in 3 days... so...).

AND I'm babysitting (joy).

Today is going to be awesome.

oh no.
If it makes you feel any better, I sat this morning as I fed Seth imagining tombstone inscriptions: "Here lies Katie. Died of complications due to too little sleep."
Here comes today! :(

Katieo,
lol. Last night when I was going to bed I was thinking about how in order for me to average the *normal* amount of sleep (say 6-8 hours) I would need to be in bed for about 15 hours to make up for all the night wakings. What can I say? Baby is a horrible sleeper. On top of Kid waking up puking before dawn, and me finally going to be around midnight, Baby woke me up an additional 4 times. 4 times in 4 hours! She has nightmares EVERY night. I keep thinking she's going to grow out of it and then she doesn't.
I think of you all the time.... I feel your pain! Sometimes it is just too much... that's when I eat sugary carbs and Baby watches TV.

Me, Only Better,
You and me both.

Kid just puked then said ...
"Every time I throw up I poop in my underwear a little. I think it's from pushing so hard."
I can't tell you the awesomeness involved in cleaning toxic underwear every half hour, puke bowls, and trying NOT to contaminate Baby or the baby. Thank God Kid is finally old enough to sit up and hold the puke bowl herself... that really is quite a help.

Oh, Mrs. F., that sucks! Is she running a fever? Hope she's better soon...
The nightmares, my youngest used to do that every night too! It is exhausting. She will outgrow it, I promise. Someday you will go to bed at a reasonable hour, both of your children will sleep through the night, and you will wake leisurely around eight or nine... and panic that you didn't hear from anyone all night! I wish it for soon. I know the lack of sleep can suck the life right out of you...

You use a "bowl" for puke? We always used a bucket/pail. I hope your "awesomeness" ends soon.

Loralei,
Yep a big stainless steel bowl. Or we have a plastic square bin. Fun times!

Gigs,
No fever so I'm holding out for this nit being H1N1. Plus remember that Kid is a puker. Sometimes she gets something for a day and then is over it & none of us get sick. The fact that this is a both ends deal makes me a little more nervous since that isn't her norm... but she is already getting bored w/the TV and playing a little.
