Contradictory Terms

Realtor walk through today.

Of course, as luck would have it, I also have 3 kids under 3 today too.

Let me tell you, this motley crew of toddlers is not down with the new house rules.

Subsequently my stress level is through the roof.

How is that these little people can drive us so far to the edge Im mean we are grown adults but yet Ive seen a grown man almost brought to tears the other day he was having such a hard time with his four lillte ones in the store. Im considering cocktail hour it may be the only way to make it.

Time to pick a room, barricade them in, and try to survive! Good luck with the walk-through tonight!

May I suggest getting a box, throwing everything they've gotten out into and putting in your car just before the realtor shows up? Not that I've ever tried this to make my house look clean with 3 little ones running around...

trifitmom,
well for now we're just focusing on getting our house listed... moving we'll get to later.

Well I managed. Nearly killed Baby when she dumped a glass of apple juice all over the floor 10 minutes before the realtor came!
It went well. He saw the specialness of our house/particular location. He thinks we want a bit more than we'll get (depressing) but he is willing to go along with it... good... you never know what kind of sucker is going to come along... right? As Mr F said "we did!". Word.
House goes up next Thursday.

We had our house on the market last year for about 2 months, with a 2-year-old, so I completely sympathize. It was such a pain with one that I can only imagine the stress with three! We didn't end up selling, but will try again next year. I'm hoping that by the the diapers and the pukey old cat are, um, no longer factors, shall we say.

Holly,
I'm nervous about it. We'll see how it goes the next couple of weeks. On one hand you hope a ton of people want to see your house... on the other you don't want to deal with showing it.
We lucked out when we sold in MI because it sold the first week while we were on vacation. We got it ready and came home and never had to show it.
Somehow I doubt we'll be that lucky twice.

Mrs F, I totally understand. The 2-3 showings we had while we were out of town for a long weekend were the best by far! Though I am glad that we haven't moved yet, I kinda wish we'd listed the house for less, so it would have moved more quickly. We had lots of interest with no offers. Boo!
