Mr F Is Going To Try And Deny This...

But he watches The Bachelor.

Don't pay any attention when he chimes in to say "Not really... I'm just trying to spend time with Mrs F and she watches it." or "It certainly isn't what I would chose to watch." or some other lame excuse.

Don't believe a word he says. He doesn't just watch it... He's into it.

Last night Mr F declared...

"If he doesn't chose Tenley I'm boycotting the final episode."

The proof is in the pudding, my friends.

LOL That reminds me of when I was a kid and Dad used to say to us: "Be quiet - your Mother is watching the Waltons."

He never would admit that he liked it too!

hehehehe.. It's great.. I have caught hubby watching some pretty lowbrow stuff at times, too.. ::cough:: tool academy on mtv ::cough:: ::cough::

He would NEVER EVER in a million years admit to liking it, but, oh, he did. LOL

Tenley .. Tenley... Tenley...Tenley...Tenley ... lol.

Definately stop the Vienna madness. I was very confused about the previews for the final rose ceremony show. It seems like he doesn't choose either one??? Did you get that vibe?

He should own it... like a MAN :)

I love it when my boyfriend watches "Project Runway" with me and claims it is only because of Heidi Klum.

my hubby watches some of the bachelor with me but usually to make fun of it. I had a feeling Gia would be gone last night and i hate how they edited it to make it look like he was going to let Ali come back. I know he will probably end up with Vienna but at this point i almost think he deserves her but enough of my side commentary back to main point of this comment yes my hubby would never admit it but he does watch this and also cries at some of my chick flicks when he doesnt think anyone is paying attention lol

I AM watching it to spend time with Mrs F (and avoid my new dungeon-office), but there's no question, I can get sucked into a reality show post haste.

This is a tough one, because I don't really have the back-story on any of the girls. But I have pretty clear opinions on the final four:

Ali -- Never liked her. Bad news / head case / selfish / F'd up family history. He really wimped out last week when she left. But he manned up last night when he blocked her return.

Gia -- I know the LEAST about her. He was pretty clearly infatuated with her looks above all else—not reason enough to marry her. Crazy New York Italian family.

Tenley -- Serious divorce baggage, but by far the most compatible in every important category. Cool family. The obvious choice.

Vienna -- Flat-out weird-looking. Immature, a girl you meet on spring break, not someone you have kids with. Lives at home with her crazy redneck father. She might be fun and uninhibited, but it's ridiculous that's she's still there.

His final choice shouldn't even be close, but he's clearly going to put them both unnecessarily through the wringer.

Clearly, I don't really watch the show :-)

I would normally take this opportunity to exact a few sharp-witted insults on my brethren who watch this kind of show and have opinions on it...

...*IF* I wasn't guilty of flipping through channels and stopping on MTV and VH-1 terrifyingly horrid reality shows like Charm School and Tool Academy.

Damn guilty pleasures.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I believe Mr F's comments speak for themselves.
I rest my case.

Yes, Mrs F, you should allow the Mr to watch a little tool academy...perfect man reality show.. They sit and make fun of every guy on and it makes them feel all inflated ego-ish. hahah

It really is a guilty pleasure.. especially when the douches cry.

I couldn't read this post until I watched my recorded episode last night. It totally seems like he and Tenley are made for each other... shiny happy people and all.

My hubby, for some reason, has refused to watch this! Now, I can get him sucked into some trash TV normally, but this time he has stood his guns. Good thing he's an accountant and never home at night this time of year to suffer through. ;) I can only imagine what his comments would be about Gia's family and Vienna in general.

Seems like mr F's got it down. Good thing he's a quick study since he's not really watching. ;)

Mr F, you say crazy New York Italian Family like it's a bad thing.

Mrs Furious said...

Surly Rob,
Ha! I thought it was funny that that was such a strong negative for Mr F.

Mr Furious said...

That sounded harsher than I meant it...

I meant "crazy Italian" in a "the bartender brother is a wannabe Soprano" kinda way.

Not a lovable Italian family where the "chemist brother is a wannabe heli-car inventor."

My husband walks into the room, sees The Bachelor on the t.v. and decides it's a good night to start doing our taxes! What hot and heavy pillow talk you must have- a man with a real opinion about The Bachelor is something some of us only dream about!:)

Liz,
Ha! I wish Mr F would do our taxes... The grass is always greener I guess.

I love it. ANd I pretty much agree with the professional (mr f). But I'm not loving Tenley either. I like her "values" and she has a rockin' body. But she is sooooooo needy and clingy and pushy about the marriage and 'rest of our lives' talk.

And I just can't stand the freakin' baby voices that they all do when they talk about 'being in love.'
