Let's Just Say That...

Yesterday I was ASSURED that no more trees were coming down.

This morning I was told that he is being nice by giving me the choice to approve their cutting instead of just knocking them down and then apologizing later.

He was surprised when I told him I felt he was manipulating me.

I'm going to have a heart attack.

I called him "Dude" and referred to my trees as "fucking" and "goddamn"... so... you know I was PISSED.

I also told him that he can stop acting like his property improvements are to my benefit.

20 foot garage vs 60 foot trees.... hmm... not an improvement.

Oh, and our "shared space" is not in fact shared... it is MY GODDAMN PROPERTY.

Smitty,
he's just lucky I didn't enroll in the sniper training courses I was looking up the other day or there would be blood shed right now.
I just saw him measuring the tree!!!

julie,
seriously. I don't know what this test is but I am probably going to fail.

Everyone in my office was just treated to some mighty "salty" language during my phone conversation with Mrs F.

This time, we live up to the name.

Never a dull moment with the Furious clan.

F that guy and his f'n tree cutting. He's lucky I'm not there - I would TP his house. Yeah, so what that I'm 30-something.

Mrs F:

Allow me to suggest this school for all your sniper-related needs.

For me, sniper school held less appeal than the shocking brutality of full frontal assaults (hence my choice of branch of the military to enlist in); maybe that's a personal preference, but you may want to consider the message that would send to the rest of your neighbors.

I'm telling you, I would have no patience with that either. WTF? You are channeling me with your response, because that is exactly what I would have done/said. Hope the city backs you up. Maybe you'd like to add a nice lawsuit to your empty schedule...

Smitty,
That is the one I was looking at.
I've always thought I'd be a good sniper. I'm not sure what that says about me...

Gigs,
Oh I will... I will absolutely take them to small claims if they take down those trees (on purpose or not), I've been photographing them today for that reason. Did I mention that after all this it turns out they have no permits?!!!! I mean WTF is going on? I can't believe they thought they could mess with someone else's property line and not get city clearance first. I totally assumed they had some legitimate clearance before they started back hoeing the shit out of my back yard. And it turns out the tree they cut down the other day... they wouldn't have had to cut down now that they can't put their garage where they thought. Assholes.

P.O.M.,
I'm just going to drop some dirty diapers off under all their windows at night...

Long Range International also has a good reputation.

As for a not illegal suggestion, sue his ass. Get an injunction and otherwise make his life miserable.

You should call the town hall and the planning board immediately. In my town, this would get an inspector out, an immediate injunction to stop, with police enforcement. In addition, you (may) have no idea how expensive it is to replace mature trees. Get an estimate and submit a bill immediately. It should run 1,000s of dollars. That should make his ass back off.
Also, he propably owes fines for starting work without permits and will need to put everything ack the way it was.
It is all a hassle, though.
