Maybe This Will Go Away Soon

It seems like I can't seem to maintain the blog these days.

I'm sorry about that.

I've had a strange headache since Thursday.

I feel like my brain is trying to expand beyond my skull.

So, you know, that makes looking at the computer a little less enjoyable.

It's not just you I'm neglecting.

I didn't take baby to her class this morning (because it bores the shit out of me and the brain pressure is a good excuse).

Plus, Kid starts Brownies tonight.

I had to save up my energy for that.

Oh, and Mr F's magazine is closing* this week OF COURSE (for the 2 or so readers that have any idea what that means... well, they'll know that not feeling well this week is the worst kind of luck).

And next week Mr F will be on a work trip ALL week.

He's going to miss Kid's cheer debut at the JV football game (don't tell her).

She's going to be HOT.

* this month's issue... the magazine is not folding... no worries!

I really look forward to reading your blog and miss you when you aren't here. So feel better soon.

Do you think it's a migraine? Took me years (I mean 20) to discover my headaches could be relieved with migraine medication.

I don't know. I've never been much of a headache sufferer unless it was combined with the flu or something. But this has been relentless and timed with my period (which I think is migraine typical) and the only way I get any relief is to sleep. I'm hoping when my period is over (soon) it will go away as well. I've been going back to bed after Kid goes to school, getting up only to put a movie on for Baby hand her a granola bar, and then go back to sleep every morning this week. So something is not right... I usually have a lot more stamina. I guess I could try some of Mr F's headache stuff...

I dont know about where your at but here in Dallas we are suffering with seasonal allergies which are kicking my ass. I look half dead. Not enough zyrtec can help me right now long lasting headache sinus crap. Maybe theres something in the air up there.

Andrea,
YES it could be that. I was just telling my friend that I do have this annoying sinus crap going on too.

Wait...closing as in closing their doors, all done, no more magazine??? Or as in there is a deadline fast approaching and so his days get longer?

Smitty,
Oh no! That would get more than a casual mention, I assure you.
One week a month is "closing week" for that month's issue. He pretty much lives there for that. But at least it's not NC where he had 3 magazines to close. That was practically undoable, for him & us.

because it bores the shit out of me That's funny.

Yeah, what Smitty asked...what is up with what magazine??!

Man, that bites about the relentless headache. As I have gotten older I have noticed I get a lingering headache around my period. Hope you feel better soon.

julie,
I thought that was funny myself ;)
nothing is up... just the push for the shipping of this month's issue. He is no longer doing any work for the NC magazine/s, they pulled the plug on that 2 months ago (they might very well be going under).
And I've been thinking it might just be that... or allergies... I guess if it magically goes away tomorrow it is just period related (which have only gotten worse in every way every single year)... if not allergies. I don't think a migraine would last longer than a week either... but I don't know.

Hope you're feeling better, and I'm rocking a super strong pressure headache right now too. Could it be the weather? Hope this story RE: TTFN brightens things a bit.
One of my mother's best friends (in her 70s) from her British group used to sign her letters that way when she was corresponding with her fiance, Norm (back in the 50s).
When they were married, Norm was reading a letter from her sister with the same closing (TTFN).
He was shocked and a little embarrassed and asked my mom's friend about it. She couldn't understand his reaction to "Ta-ta for now." He was even more embarrassed when he explained that he always thought TTFN meant, "Two Tits for Norm."

P/F,
LOL!!! That is hilarious.

P/F,
I mean REALLY... LOL.... I'm still laughing about it.

I hope you feel better soon. Maybe the headache is just the culmination of the last year of stress? But I hope it's just allergies. There's a lot of that going around here too. As for the blog, I'm of the opinion that your very witty gems are well worth the wait, so do it when you can or when the spirit moves you...of course I'm dying to see a photo of kid in her cheer outfit, so maybe post one if you can. That girl is adorable! And Brownies...are you a leader? I bet you could get those girls do some seriously amazing crafts!

LOL @ Baby's class! Too funny!

Sorry that Mr. F can't be around more. . . I think you need to do BitchFest Friday this week! You haven't done that in a long time!

Funny, but you won't be able to see TTFN without thinking about Mr. G.

When my husband came home last night, my headache had gotten really, really bad. He said, "take and ibuprofen and have a cup of tea." I swear that it NEVER dawns on me to take something. This amuses my husband to no end - I'll go days with a headache and never think of it. Probably because there was just no medication in my house growing up. I don't know if it was the ibuprofen or the caffeine, but it worked by the time I went to bed. Duh.
