It's Over

We finished LOST last night.

We pretty much cried continuously for an hour and half, muttering...

"What does it mean? What does it mean?!"*

And I'm still processing what the hell it means.

I mean I get the obvious... but...

Why did Penny & Juliet get to be there?!

What does it mean?!!! What does it mean?

*Special nod to SuperDad for introducing me to that, now, commonly used Furious household phrase.

Oh, I know! We just finished watching the last season a couple of weeks ago. I found that I had to just let go with trying to figure everything out. I loved the ending. I don't know why. It just made me cry.

Tom and I did not get to watch every show, every season (little kids get in the way;) ). We started the show from the beginning last week. Our boys are watching it with us and LOVE it. I figure we have many, many hours of video watching ahead of us. And I know of a few episodes we will need to fast forward for the boys.

What is cool about watching it from the beginning after seeing the ending is that you see how some thing connect or make sense. Murphy noticed that the last scene of Lost is the same as the first scene...with Jack laying on the ground looking up.

I've been so curious to know what you would think! FWIW, I loved the ending, in the end. I had to process it for awhile.

It must have been quite a different experience to watch it straight through, but also overwhelming.

Read these, and it will help, I promise:

NOT YOU TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I've been reading your posts about watching the show.

I know what it means!!

They all died in the plane crash and later on they were able to join each other in death.

Enough said. (EYEROLL)

Damn double rainbow!

I don't think they all died in the plane crash.

wootini,
Thanks for the links.

supermom,
miss you too! ... but I don't think they all died in the 1st crash... at least not yet I don't.

julie,
I'm totally going to start watching it over again. I'm watching the last episode again tomorrow... I need to pay more attention.

I agree. I don't think they all died in plane crash. I was just in a daze of double rainbows when I answered. ha ha

You did not want to be my Facebook friend after the season finale concluded last year. I was pissed. Over-the-top PISSED. It took me about three days to fully go through my grieving process, and I came out the other end at peace with the show's conclusion. Not necessarily happy, but at peace. Did you get to see the bit with Ben and Hugo that they created just for the DVDs?

Deb said...

Oh, and no, they did not die in the plane crash. :)

Deb,
I'm assuming we did since we were watching the DVDs... you mean the whole "you were a good #2" part?
I"m still coming to terms with the ending. I try to talk myself into the whole ... it's a show it doesn't have to make complete sense... shtick. But, I really thought Sawyer and Kate would end up together.
