Some of you have already made this and so for you I am sorry that you are suffering through a repeat... but for everyone else I cannot stress how good this is. Seriously. We eat this once a week. It takes about 17 minutes from start to finish and only 2 minutes of that is prep time. It is so simple and you can have it on the table faster than take out with just as much ease. For real. If you haven't tried it out yet you should.
Tomato and Meatball Soup
1 -32 oz carton Organic Creamy Tomato Soup (or 2 cans Campbell's tomato soup)
3 oz elbow noodles (dry)
12 mini party style meatballs (frozen)
1/2 c water or chicken stock
Dump the soup, the noodles, and the meatballs in a sauce pan. Pour the water or stock in the soup carton and shake to dislodge any remaining soup and add to the pot. Bring this to a simmer and continue simmering for 15 minutes. Be sure to stir occasionally while heating! Once the meatballs are heated through I cut them in half in the pot to make them easier for Kid to eat.
makes 4 - 1.5 c servings for 263 calories each

Cooking Notes:
You could easily extend this by adding 1 c chicken broth, 3-4 meatballs, and 1 oz of noodles for each additional serving! If you are adding more than 2 extra servings just double the original recipe (obviously... right?)
Also if you have a Trader Joe's their Tomato Soup is the BEST and it's cheaper! I also use their brand of mini party meatballs.
If using Campbell's soup omit the extra 1/2 c or water or stock and prepare the condensed soup following the can's instructions.

Seriously people, this is the best! We now eat it once a week. It is super yummy and ridiculously easy to make. Something else I like, is that none of the ingredients are perishable, so it is easy to have the ingredients on hand so you can throw it together whenever you need something for dinner or lunch!

It does look and sound good. I adore tomato soup. It was a comfort food in my stressful childhood. We'll have to try it. We haven't been steered wrong yet with one of your recipes!

And yes, as a computer person I'll say you're right Mrs F. How much you can zoom in on a digital pic depends on how high the resolution on the file is. So Robin if you want your pictures to be bigger, you need to save them on your pc with higher resolution, if that's how they're coming out of your camera, you need to turn up the resolution on your camera.
That sounds delicious, but my dumb husband (hopefully does not read the comments on your blog) doesn't eat red meat. Well, that's not the whole truth, he doesn't eat mammals. Not because he thinks it's cruel or anything, because he never did as a child and can't break it down now. Ugh. Men.

Hi Mrs. F .. I feel funny calling you that. lol. I have been reading/watching your blog for a while now. You are a very funny person. This recipe looks great and I can't wait to try it!
I have done battle with my weight for years. Mostly since after having my son. He is 8. It is kind of past the point of blaming baby weight. lol. I wanted to ask you a question about the intervals, if you don't mind. Probably not the right post to ask this question in, being that it is a food post .. but I'll ask anyway. =) I was just curious as to how long your intervals are for. I saw where you said right now you were doing short intervals of a minute and a half .. what are your normal intervals? 2 mins, 5 mins ..? I am going to try the treadmill thing. I don't know if I can do an hour though! I have about 40 pounds to lose .. well if I were to even attempt to get to your weight it would be 80! I am 5'3 as well. My body seems to like around 145ish. So for right now I am aiming for 145ish.
There are so many conflicting ways to lose weight. Some say, to lose weight just concentrate on food. Then once you have lost the weight, add exercise. Some say the exact opposite. I don't know which is right and up until now, none of it has worked.
Anyway, you don't need my life story. lol. Thanks in advance!

Turkey meatballs? Yay or Nay?
The Trader Joe's we went to in Rochester Hills, btw, was absolutely vacant. I mean, I could have bowled in the aisles. Here, the TJ's are jam freaking packed.
of course it's good - you are combining three of the greatest foods of all time - tomato soup, meatballs, and pasta! yum yum!

I agree,this soup is a great,quick meal. My kids loved it and it is really hearty for this freaking cold weather.I used Imagine brand because we don't have a Trader Joes,I have to go to Ann Arbor for that ;)

I looked up the receipe yesterday after you showed me where to find it, brought it up to the boyfriend and now we both want it. i think with Trader Joes Turkey meatballs it could be even lower in fat and amazing at the same time. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I did it on the road and I forgot all you questions. Cardio intervals. I'm not sure how much it matters in terms of the time. Doing them every 1.5 minutes really keeps boredom at bay. I think I would go shorter than 5 minutes though... so that your body works harder. And start where you are at. Nothing wrong with a 40 minute workout.

This was delicious!!! Really good! Even my daughter who claims to hate tomato soup (but loves spaghetti sauce?!) gobbled this up. All bowls were squeaky clean! It was quick with a minimum of prep time and as others have said - the ingredients are always on hand in our house.
We varied it to incorporate our various food issues; I replaced the regular pasta with gluten free quinoa shells (needed a little additional cooking) and replaced the meatballs with Quorn balls (mushroom protein - they are very good, low in fat no gmos etc).
