Good luck with the unpacking and setting up. I forgot how tricky that is with a baby.
Does Kid start school in mid August? I thought schools in the south start earlier than up north. If so, what do you think of the local school or are you going to home school?
mwahhahaha... um... the school situation is deserving of an entire post (if not more) and I have pictures to illustrate my points so stay tuned. Long story short miracles of all miracles she got into the hippy private school in our neighborhood (which is an extremely good thing).
Can you ask the woman across the street for the name of a sitter who could come and help at least keep an eye on the kids so that you can unpack? You'd be there too so there wouldn't be the trusting a stranger issue and maybe you'd get to know someone you could use for the occasional date night (if Matt's still living).
I hate that for you. But I have to say... that is EXACTLY what I would have come home to. I can't even believe how familiar it all sounds and looks. It's "funny" how much we women would get done in 10 days with just work and kid-free. Anyway, glad you guys are home and kids school sounds great! Can't wait to read about it.
You guys need to understand that our house looked like the warehouse at the end of Indiana Jones. I actually got a LOT done, just not everything Mrs F might have been expecting...
I still had to go to work. And traipse all over the county looking for a stove. I wasn't drinking mojitos out on the deck...
And the apples...don't get me started on the apples...

Oh Mr. F ... :( You get an F. Started? Oooh, Mr. F. tisk tisk.
That would have completely sent me over the edge. Completely.
Yay on the private school! You will be very happy .. if the local school was anything like Louisiana .. you are very lucky.
Does your house have central air?
