Another nice welcome from your new 'hood. Maybe that roaming pitbull will kill all the rats.

Haley,
I might need the power of the wig...

Kiki,
Oh God when I think about the subways I don't know how I ever survived living there as long as I did. I was constantly on "rat watch"... it was actually really stressful to take the subway or walk around the Lower East Side or through parks at night... or by dumpsters..

Michelline,
yeah I'm not happy about it!

Julie,
lol... I told Mr F "I'm getting a tiger!"

OH, no!

Mr Furious said...

Yeah, but these are wild "mountain rats," right? Not dirty, foul city sewer rats...

(desperate)

You've got your rats, and I've got these giant cricket things that keep scaring the shit out of me in the basement...

You guys got palmetto bugs in NC? Those are the things that terrify me. Reduce me to a gibbering wreck that can barely call for Chris to come kill it.

Michelline,
It is amazing how "not scary" other people's phobias are to me. Bugs no big deal. Rats = Freddy Krueger.

Mrs Furious said...

Kat,
Oh NO is right! I'd almost take a vicious loose pit bull over ONE rat... the fact that there is NEVER just one rat could make me go insane!

Ewwww! and scary for you!

It's funny how the roaming pitbulls suddenly don't seem so bad;)

Oh sweet mother, Mr F, nasty on the giant cricket creatures. One house I lived in had enormous centipedes...You'd be watching TV and see something huge on the wall and go into kill action. It was so disturbing.

Yeah, but these are wild "mountain rats," right? Not dirty, foul city sewer rats... LOL...reminds me of a realtor who told us that the house had mice, but they were "small brown country mice that are kind of cute, actually."

The cricket things aren't actually creepy upon closer(ish) examination, but they're big, and startle the hell out of me. Plus they leap so damn fast it's like they are transporting across the room.

Once I realize what it is, no biggie. It's not like they're one of these, or a palmetto bug, whic if I recall is just a nice way to say "giant fucking roach."

God, I wish I hadn't clicked on that bug link. Thanks Mr. F. :(

Michelline,
oh I don't know... somedays I'd be willing to trade dinner for a nice big margarita ;)

I'm late here but wanted to say amen about those fucking cricket things. We had those in my basement in Maryland -- like cricket/spider hybrids that seriously jumped higher than my dog. I contemplated getting a ghecko to eat them. Seriously. I hate bugs. Palmetto bugs *are* just big fucking roaches.
