Baby had her first habanero last night... accidentally of course... God I wish I'd had my camera for that one!
Her face slowly turned red inch by inch and her eye's glassed over. But she didn't freak out like I might have expected. No crying or gagging.... she just stuck her tongue out. She was apparently shocked. Then she drank some water and resumed eating. It was really something to behold.

I screamed just imagining an entire lump of wasabi. WHEW! Baby rocks!
Oh Carrie, the wasabi was terrible... mostly because all the adults FREAKED out and completely embarrassed Kid who then wouldn't let us help her. Everyone in the restaurant was staring at her... it was awful. I thought she'd give up sushi but no she's back on it... I just remove all the wasabi before I give it to her now ;)
Baby's my idol! I can't even eat a habanero.
That is awesome! What a rock star!
We did not have the same luck with The Ambassador and a batch of particularly spicy Indian food a few weeks ago. He kept shouting, "Hot! Hot!" while we shoved ice water at him.
I just wanted to let you know that I truly enjoy your blog. You have inspired and motivated me to start my own blog. I too have a crazy fetish about Amish. I love all your videos and your discussions on Fitness. I have been a lurker for a long time, but thought I could share in the fun! I have added your link to my blog. I have shared your link with so many people along the way and they too think your a stitch!
Sorry for the long comment, but thanks for sharing your journey!

Lori,
Hey! Thanks for your comment :)
I'll come check you out.
YOu've got some spicy kids!
I laugh at men when they can't eat spicy food. It appears whimpy to me. I hope your girls will do that too. ha ha.
P.O.M.,
I think we can rest assured that my girls will always make fun of men ;)
Michelline,
you and me both
Deb,
After this reaction I was actually wondering if kids could handle more spice than adults.... I guess not.
Mine don't do spicy. K loves her some lemons though. She'll eat the whole dang wedge, rind and all!
