we set the store up for holiday and I started hyperventilating....yep, freaking out over here!
You must be so excited to go to Michigan for a visit!
I mean besides all the crazy stuff with travel on the jet etc...
I know, holy crap, holiday stuff is creeping up fast.
On another note, I feel like I am going to burst out of my jeans. Why the hell do I do this to myself?!!!!
Awww, I'm jealous, say hello to everyone! My immediate family is going to the Mosses.
And re: Christmas sneaking up, I usually have these weeks and weeks of being annoyed at 'early christmas' stuff.
Now all of a sudden, its here! I have to get stuff for people! Ah!
Also, random confession time, I've always kind of narrated things when I"m by myself in my head to an invisible audience.
Lately I've started calling them 'People'
I blame you!
Kiki,
Yeah I guess with the store you can't ever ignore the holidays!
Julie,
Yes I'm excited... but also a little nervous... 9 days is a long time to be out of routine and it can be exhausting!
Why the hell do I do this to myself?!!!!
You and me both... if I had the answer I think my life might be a bit more glamorous by now ;)
Elizabeth,
"Also, random confession time, I've always kind of narrated things when I"m by myself in my head to an invisible audience."
Me too. I've always done it. That's why I'm so comfortable doing the videos!
I am cracking up at the muffin comment. Would it make you feel better to know that I just ate an entire pint of Ben and Jerry's? (Neopolitan Dynamite...yum) Yeah, I need to stop that too.
Oh, and I definitely don't envy the plane thing. Kent is sensitive to sounds so I would have to drag him kicking and screaming. Good times.
Well, while we're fessing up...I ate 10 Newman-O cookies.
And then ate dinner.
LOL guys! At least I'm in good company ;)
Can you believe tonight's BL?!!!
Starbucks cards!! Brilliant!
I have pretty much put the kaibosh on the holidays this year. We are having Thanksgiving with friends at an Indian restaurant. We are not sending out Christmas cards (because birth announcements will go out in a matter of weeks, I'm sure). I forced my extended family into a gift exchange to cut down on spending, and then I proceeded to purchase the gifts Hubby and I owe to the exchange online today. That pretty much grinches things up for me. We'll get a tree and go see Santa shortly after Thanksgiving, assuming I'm not sitting around with an ice pack between my legs. Fun times!!
P.S. The Ambassador is, indeed, sleeping in his own bed in his own room. Hubby gave it a shot one day, and it went as smoothly as butter. If by "smoothly as butter" we all mean he sleeps in his room for the first seven hours of his night, then comes into ours for the last five. I'll take it.
Crap, I lost my comment in the tubes of the I-net.
I love the Starbuck card idea. Genius.
Don't stress on being perfect. And look at the time away as a kick-start to the New Year - you can exercise while family watches the beautiful girls, right?
TOtally freaking out about the holidays. I really want to just hop on a plane to Maui and forget about them this year. Might be some good bloggin' material - but my family reads it and it would be all about how they drive me up the damn wall.
P.O.M.,
We'll meet you there!
Kid wants us to renew our vows there like J&K+8.
I told her when we got our own show we could do it ;)
Ooooooo, me too please! I mean to Maui please!!!
Kiki,
What you don't want to take part in our recommitment ceremony?!?! ;)
Gotcha on the holiday stress..FUN FUN!! And we have half our shopping done already...STILL stressful! (i think the stress is piped in along with the christmas music..)
Have fun on your trip! And good luck too.. I get stressed just driving 4hours to my moms cabin alone with the girls.. we always have a good time, but the stress beforehand is a KILLER!!
You're going to have so much fun next week.
Re Christmas - we're already done decorating the inside. Libby's dresser contains an army of nutcrackers. I have no idea how she sleeps with all those scary things watching her at night.
Marie,
Oh we're listening to the xmas station RIGHT NOW! I didn't think about it... but it might be ramping up my stress level! ;)
Michelline,
LOL
Kid loves those too.
I was kind of wanting to get our outside decorations up before we left... but I think that'll have to wait until we get back.
