Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

Kid woke up, on her first morning of Christmas vacation, to this....

I woke up to her screaming in my ear "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! It's snowing!"

This is the first real snow we've had since living here.

It doesn't look like much now, but it is just starting, and is due to snow for two straight days!

These Michiganders are thrilled!

Today is going to be fun.

Oh and if you are worried about Baby, don't...
it seems there are provisions being stock piled in the hood.

I wish it would snow here again...After Punk and I both saw snow for the first time, we miss it already. It was great. I am happy you have snow to look forward to on your first day home with your babies.

Thanks ladies... we are very excited. I had kind of given up my hopes of a white Christmas. I'm so glad it's falling on the perfect day too, when I was planning to just hang out and bake and the kids can now go out and play for 10 minutes until they are freezing ;)

And how great is it that that guy walked to the store for Pabst at 9 AM?

I'm in Michigan and jealous. I want snow for Christmas. Of course by the end of February I'll be back to bitching about the snow. Smitty Jr. gets mad every day he puts his boots on and there's no snow. Like somehow I control it.

It's snowing around here today, too...well, at least the large paper variety. THANK YOU for sharing that video of the snowflakes! Our Life Enrichment Coordinator is making them with our residents (her oldest helper is 99!) and they are having so much fun. This Assiste Living building looks like a veritable winter wonderland. Thanks again. :)

Carrie,
Oh thanks for sharing that with me. That's awesome.

Eli's birthday party is supposed to be tomorrow, and the only people not traveling more than one hour are me, mark and my mom, so I"m guessing... no party. Poor kid. The first year he actually knows what is going on and no one will even be here to sing to him. He was so excited.

Marie,
Oh it has been non stop snowing. There was an inch maybe two at 9 now at 5 there is a foot. We've done the whole snowsuit, boots, etc 3 times now. It's so deep Baby can't walk in it and just flounders there until Kid comes back and packs down a track for her to follow. It really makes me miss northern winters... so much more fun to play in the snow then... no snow.
