And That's Why 7 Year Olds Don't Write Parenting Books

"Please just lie down and try not to do anything annoying." I ask Kid as she climbs into bed for her book time.

"Your sister has already made me so mad that I'm kind of in a bad mood." I explain feeling apologetic.

"I know!... and that hardly ever happens." Kid remarks.

"Well, I try not to let it." I say smiling.

"But, tonight when I threw that towel, it was because I wanted to slap her." I confide.

"Next time you should slap her." Kid says enthusiastically, a sly smile creeping across her face.

Isn't it just a peachy treat when older siblings want to get involved in disciplining their younger siblings?

I love it when Smitty Jr. does that to the Wondertwins, because then he gets in trouble too and Mrs. Smitty and I subsequently have a few minutes of PEACE AND QUIET!

Smitty,
ah yes, there has been plenty of "Now you can go to your room too!" around here as of late.

I'm glad it gave you all a laugh. I really do get some special enjoyment out of her big sister-ism... really crack me up as I can still remember feeling that way.

sibling love! Or maybe, why a 7 year old should write parenting books...at least they follow their instincts:)
