Tina, go HERE. A neti pot is used to clear out the nasal passages and sinus cavity by pouring salt water up and through them... it is CRAZY... but is really supposed to help.
I'll ask Mr F to post a response to this one. I don't see why not... it wasn't as hideous for him as I imagined... and if I wasn't filming it he probably would have had an easier time of it!
thanks Mr F., I might be willing to brave it if it actually helps, I have teribble sinus problems and I could suck it up if I knew there was a payoff. I would not let anyone film me though... not even for money. You're a good man Charlie Brown.
oh you should try it. I think it was like $15. Dr Oz brought one on Oprah last year and talked about what a huge difference it can make. Mr F is currently on at least 2 meds for his allergies/sinus issues.
I think I will, I have to take thyroid meds already and I hate taking pills. I usually just suffer but lately the sinus headaches have been triggering migraines with flashing lights, nausea the whole shebang. Plus,I'm sure the kids would say I'm not super charming when I have a headache...Rainee(14yr old) always says "why are you so yelly?" what a proud mom moment.

Merry Christmas to you!
that should be A-I-M to please!
4:00 pm XMas--videos are showing up "no longer available" for some (no) reason...
haha, it reminds me of that episode of Six Feet Under where George gives one of the boys a netty pot...and everyone looks at him like he's insane!
Excellent.
Merry Christmas Furious Family!!
Ok, I'm clueless. What is that and what is it for?
bi0nicwoman,
thanks.
Merry Christmas to you too!

Think of it as a personal, self-induced waterboarding...
Wow... I really didn't think my image of Mr. F could get any less serious after the whole poops-on-towels episode. I was wrong!
Deb,
Once you knew who he was married to the notion of Mr F being *serious* should have flown out the window.
If you want to know what Mr F thinks of himself you go to his blog... when you want to know what he is really like you come here.
I have always been intrigued by the neti pot idea, but scared to actually pour water into my nose... do you think he'll try it again?
Emmy,

emmyjw-
I'll try it again. It actually wasn't bad, and it's true, if I was not being filmed it would have gone much more smoothly.
With a little practice, I think it would be easy, and beneficial for my sinuses if I make it a routine.
One I try it for a while, I'll write a review.
