Yeah, we were only there 2 nights/3 days and our food bill wasn't far off. That new restaurant in Animal Kingdom, Yak and Yeti, is really nice, but it's expensive. The pork egg rolls were awesome, though.

We heard that Yak & Yeti was good. We'll have to go next time.. sounds like a good change of pace.
As for the money, I'm trying to remember how much the meal plan was...either $75 or $95 a day and that didn't include b'fast.. so we weren't that far off.

Yowza! I'm starting to understand why my parents only took me and my sis to disney once. Although, I suppose eating out anywhere that often would add up mighty quick, so perhaps the mouse isn't trying to squeeze people dry...perhaps...

Welcome back Furious Clan!

No, they definitely are doing their best to squeeze you dry. But you can each much more cheaply if you want to. The counter service meals aren't cheap either, but they're far cheaper than the buffets (no characters, though). Michelline and I will split a meal a lot of the time.

No one ever said Disney was cheap!

But holy cow, it's so much fun!!!! And the restaurants are awesome!

So glad you had a good time!

So....what was the verdict on the scale??

So glad you're back. My daily blog-reading was lacking. With all that walking, I doubt the scale did any moving up.

Luckily (or unluckily, depending on how you look at it) we live near Disney in CA. So we didn't have to deal with hotel cost. And I think I even remember my mom packing us a lunch. We would store it in a locker outside the park, then go out to eat and come back in. That's our ghetto-family way of doing things. ha ha.

Haley,
although the food is a bit $ .. I agree it is more a reflection of eating out 24/7.
Ooh I'm so glad you are back to commenting!

So, just out of curiosity, what is included in the $60 breakfast? Hope it is more than an egg Mc muffin! Gald you are back safe and sound.

Splaneyo,
$60 gets you an all you can eat buffet for 2 adults and 1 child with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Daisy Duck all stopping by your table for autographs and pictures. The character dining is worth it, the regular buffets are just Disney milking you for all you're worth!
