Is it my ADD that led me to believe that the man sold apples also?

Seriously, I feel like I manage my ADD with a number of strategies but my husband definitely gets exasperated when trying to tell me a story. It is common for me to stop him and say, "I don't know if you want to get to the gist because I think I stopped paying attention 5 minutes ago." I'm sure my husband feels your pain.

Mr F -- Pete remains unmedicated and unconvinced that he has ADD. I remind him that the only reason why I think it's helpful to call it that is because, well there are coping strategies (other than me yelling). He's leaning more and more towards a diagnosis, but we like to use euphemisms in our house like "creatively minded," "distracted easily" and "has trouble prioritizing and with time management."

The thing that's great about ADD is that he's great at starting projects; I'm great at finishing them. If all pistons are firing, we're a great time. Unfortunately, that only happens about 15% of the time.

And MR F, I'm surprised you didn't know the apple store dude personally! What kind of Apple Devotee are you anyway! ;)

Seriously .. my first thought was, well he is not going to be able to have an apple store "down south", I think you need a colder climate for the apples to do well. Yeh, no shit.

Ken has OCD, not sure that there is medication for that but when you come in and the labels in your pantry are all facing forward, the towels are all even, reminicient (sp?) of Sleeping With the Enemy you start to kind of wish he was diagnosed and medicated!!!

Glad to see you found the resting spot for the camera while you video, I wondered where we'd land!!!

Amy,
"Is it my ADD that led me to believe that the man sold apples also?"
That depends... do you dream about/talk about/try to convince your husband that you just want to bop in every Apple Store you see? If so it might be the ADD ;)

Jennifer,
yes but you are not a graphic designer ;)

Kiki,
"reminicient (sp?) of Sleeping With the Enemy"
LOL... I always loved how ultra creepy that movie is!

OMG-I think I have ADD...is that why I can't seem to pay full time and attention to people when they are talking to me?

Sunshine mom - "OMG-I think I have ADD...is that why I can't seem to pay full time and attention to people when they are talking to me? LOL, no. That is BAM - "being a mom" :)

OMG. My heart sank as you got to the point of that story because I realized... THAT'S WHY IT SOUNDED JUST LIKE MY LIFE!!! And don't you love the sheepish, embarassed, delayed info they finally give you when they realize that "yes, infact, their lack of meds are impacting their behavior"! And, I too, thought you meant apple-fruit store. Which really just made the whole video frickin hilarious!! Thanks:) Hang in there....

I am trying to catch up with all your posts and I just watched your video, so I'm a little late to the party, but I can't even tell you how familiar this all sounds. Talking to my husband often feels like an interview with an alzheimers patinet. I have also brought up ADD, but he's not convinced. The multitude of half done projects? Yep. Major and minor forgetfulness? Yep. Hard time keeping a train of thought in conversation? Yep. It can be really frustrating, so I have to say that I totally related to your story. At least you can laugh! I really have a hard time doing that...

I guess between my OCD and my husband's ADD our kids are probably pretty screwed...

PS: I knew right away you meant the computer store!
