wait, where's the treadmill going if the TV is going in the front room? Are you going to watch TV on your possibly new iphones?

What a beautiful house--I am looking forward to seeing how you arrange everything!
:)

Mrs F!!!! I was away for a few days (well, 5 to be exact) and missed the whole move. I am so glad you are there safely and the house looks great. I love the big, open spaces.

Have a great time up north!

Angie, you're breaking my heart...you are so sad:( I felt so badly when you said you were crying while typing the comment. We're still here for you, too!!

Yeah, where is the treadmill going?

Horray for the airport's free wifi!!

Sunshine Mom,
No problem... I was happy to finally get sometime to put something up :)

Heather,
that would be going down in the unfinished basement and I'll be using the old 13" which will all hopefully be hooked up and ready to go when I get home. I am so READY to get back to working out!

SK & Family,
Oh thanks... stay tuned on that front. We'll see what Mr F & the movers do while I'm gone ... only a little scared ;)

Julie,
Thanks for checking in... you didn't miss much since I haven't had much "free" time for blogging... or a consistent connection.

I think you'll make it all work! I know you will.

AND, you get new appliances.

See? It's all good!

Mrs Furious said...

Torey,
yes the new appliance are the silver lining

house looks great!
I think you've got amazing plans for it, it actually kinda sounds like fun (Mixed with crazy of course, but hey...)

That huge space in the kitchen is practically it's own room, with formalish furniture, it'll look fabulous too (I say formalish because you mentioned having/wanting a formal dining room...)

Right, random elipses day!

I'm NOT feeling the TV in the main room...

I think that's going to be a mistake.

I'm hoping the big leather couch will fit in the backroom with Mrs F's desk and the tv armoire. Perfect "sanctuary space" for Mrs F to watch tv and have her desk/stuff. She can see the kids on the deck, etc...

I think the tv needs to be put somewhere separated from the main living area...

I could suck it up and have MY computer somewhere else (EIK space? Basement?) I like living room set around the fireplace, playroom in the back half of that room and dining room in the dining room.

I'm sure I'll be overruled, but that's my 2 cents...

Mr Furious said...

It's that goddamn eat-in kitchen screwing everything up! Who needs that shit? I wish I could just drag the kitchen up to the dining room and expand that back room! Problems solved!

(It's also exclamation point day)

Mr F,
NO! You are wrong!!!

Mr Furious said...

See?!?

Oh the possibilities! That is my favorite thing in the world to do. Decorate a home! I wish I could come and help! lol.

I hear you on the whole "toy room" thing. My son has a toy room and all the toys get dragged into the living room and then I have to put them back. Feeling you on that. Also, I agree with the formal dining room. Unless you entertain with big dinners alot ...

I always thought I wanted two levels until we got two levels. So not what they are made out to be. I hate going up and down the stairs.. especially when I am in a hurry. Would love a single story home. I'm going to be screwed when I get old and can't do stairs! lol.

Have fun with the decorating!

We are looking forward to the single floor living to be sure. At this stage, the only thing in the basement is the treadmill and stuff in storage.

mrs. f-love your blog. i was searching blogs with weight loss topics and came upon yours. i just started mine today and am looking for others' with some of my same interests as far as blogging goes.

love your posts! and...cute house, by the way!

Okay, the house is wonderful and from what we saw of your other home your furniture is going to be beautiful in its new space.

I second the comment about family dinners though, if you expect a lot of people for Thanksgiving or something you might want a larger space for meals.

That outdoor screened in porch is going to be genius for containing the Kid and Baby, I love it!!!! All of it!!!

We have a one story and I love it. You are right about playrooms, we tried it and all the toys just migrated all over the house anyways. As for a formal dining room, it seems like wasted space if you are only going to use it once or twice a year...you can always move furniture for those occasions. It will be harder to control the TV if it is in your main living area, but hey I'm sure you can make things work.

I love figureing out ways to use space. I am jealous. I have no ideas/opinions on yours. I am all doped up on cold meds and can't think.

Have fun "up north." Can't wait for the return of the fitness plan!

Can't wait to see what happens. What a great house. You know I love that style of house. Please do a whole video of Canine F running around the house. Nate flipped (in a good way) when he saw Putty on the video. He still goes over to the window and points over to your house and says "Putty" Putty". FYI, sending you an e-mail.

Good luck Mr F :-)

Julie: Thanks so much. It is very lonely. Weird to look out to see if they are home and remember they are gone for good.

I was just thinking back to when we were contemplating moving to Atlanta and Mrs F suggested if we moved you could move into our house. And I thought, wouldn't it be nice if Julie had bought the F's house?! :-)

hey mrs. f-
i love the house. real bummer that the appliances didn't convey and you have to pick out all-new, exactly-what-you-want ones! i would die for that screaned in porch. WOW. thanks for the update. i can't wait to see how things work out. are you sure you can't stand a desk in the kitchen? it would be a real natural fit there but not if it will drive you bananas. have a great vacation!

Andrea said...

love the house, I agree on the playroom being in the front it seems like the toys would just end up there anyways. Im so envious of that porch holy moley I want one of those.

I love this part of moving. I think your vision for your rooms is really well thought out, and I can totally see it working. The only thing I was wondering is where is your main entry...the front door? Would you be coming into the house through the TV/playroom? If so, you may be tripping over toys, kids, etc. If that's the case, you may consider flip-flopping the living room (dining room) with the play/TV space. That way toys and kids are out of the direct lines of traffic. Just an idea.

Have fun up north! I'm seriously considering a quick weekend trip up to Mackinac before the summer's over. It sounds wonderful.

SUNSHINE MOM said...

My kids are pretty good about playing with their toys inthe toyroom....I wish we didn't have a toyroom though and we could use the space for something else....I don't know what...but something else...I don't know where we would put the toys if we didn't have this room. It is more of a storage room for toys. Blah blah...like you really wanted here about this.

Jennifer said...

Ok, seriously Mrs. F .. you need to check out the post I put up today. You, of all people, will get a kick out of it. lol!

Mrs Furious said...

I just have about 1 minute to read all these as I watch Baby throw rocks at the cars in the parking lot!...

quick response to Suzy... the main entry way is a side door into the kitchen.

Baby just got a cig butt... gotta run!
