The decorating continues... carefully... very carefully choosing what and where to place things so that Baby isn't tempted to climb up and get them.
Kid wanted you to see ALL of her Nutcrackers in one shot:
And I continued pumping out *treats* for my Christmas boxes (with Kid's help):
caramel corn:
gingersnaps:
fancy (and PAINFUL) cloved tangerines:
gift tags:
playdough kit (steal this idea folks!):
And guess what we'll be using as "packing peanuts"?:

Mrs F
You are making me feel so inadequate! HA HA!!
Slow down a bit.
Maybe I am not Supermom after all? lol
Does it make you feel better to know that a little bit of drinking was involved (hey! It's for my health!!) ;)
Yanno I am pretty pissed!
Pedicures planned and I think I just broke my lil piggie!!!!!!!!!
Damn stack of videos falling off the top shelf in the closet!
MUMBLING lots of bad words under my breath.
I may be drinking before the day is over!
Wow, I'm impressed!
it's so pretty!
How fun! Everything looks great--you have good ideas!
LOVE the playdough kits. Did you make the playdough? If so, what's the recipe you used?
Thanks!!!
Rah,
Yes I did.
2 c flour
1/2 c salt
1 T cream of tartar
2 T oil
2 c water
cook (stirring constantly) until it becomes like mashed potatoes. Remove from heat and let cool.
Knead until smooth.
If you are just doing one color you can add it with the water. I made white and then kneaded in the color. I used my Wilton cake decorating gel food coloring... you get darker colors that way.
The tins are from Michael's ($1) and I bought a box of 20 plastic holiday cookie cutters ($1.50... I think) there too.
wow, I hope Mr. F picked my husband as Secret Santa at work so maybe I can score some of those goodies!
I was just at Michael's and left there with a severe headache (if you don't go in there with a specific plan it is so overwhelming). I wish I had known about that play-doh idea and tins- brilliant!
awesome, thanks!
i made my nieces and nephews aprons. so cheap...i think they ended up costing $5 each. i ironed on their first initial in the middle of the apron, (each initial was 79 cents!), and sewed buttons on some, and ribbons on others. the aprons were 3.99 at AC Moore. So, this playdough set will go great with the aprons. Thanks for the idea!
I love that the Nativity manger is in the play room for Kid:)
Kid~I love your collection! Which one is your favorite?
Hi Mrs F!
I would LOVE the recipe for the carmel corn & Ginger snaps! They look SO yummy! :P
Enjoy your evening!
cos164,
That Michael's in particular is a pain. I spent like 30 mins trying to find the Martha Christmas line... which should be front and center!
Ask Eric to get Mr F to print out the mega coupon I have for them (all month) he's got it at work!
Rah,
Oh super cute idea! I might do that for the next b'day party Kid has to go to.
Staci,
Yep I'll put them up this week. I'm waiting on word that I can share the caramel corn ... I got it from another blogger.
Julie,
Oh you know Kid's got 3 nativity sets. She actually used her xmas money one year to buy herself a china one when it went on sale!
Libby loves nutcrackers too. We're planning to take her out after Christmas. I'm sure we can pick some up for 75% off.
gorgeous! and clever! you've done it again!
Chris,
I don't know how I missed this one..
All these are from Target $12.99 I like them because they release new Nutcracker characters each year. But they are hard to get on sale.
