In Case You Were Wondering...

I am exhausted. The party was great and went off without a hitch. It helps that we were VERY selective with the invites and kept it to *good* kids only!
FYI the "treasure hunt" in the backyard (pennies and Hershey's kisses tossed on the lawn) was a BIG hit.
Without further ado... MEDUSA

Now tell me those wings are not bad ass!
Big props go out to my mother for the bad ass Medusa wig.... (mop head wired with pipe cleaners spray painted grey, rhinestone eyes, tongues cut from rubber bands)

The little tiger decided to take her mobility to the next level and made seven consecutive steps... ending with her head colliding into the coffee table (ouch). It is funny how differently I view Baby's developmental milestones versus Kid's when she was a baby. Everything Kid did was somehow a reflection on me in my eyes. I would have thought Kid walking at 8 and 1/2 months was a sure sign of her intellectual superiority (and mine!)... with Baby I just see it as a sure sign that she will probably be needing some stitches in the near future.

Great costume! And so industrious. Any homemade costumes out kids wear were made by their grandmother.

The picture of Baby F is extremely cute.

Thanks... of course the costume lasted all of about 15 minutes! Both the wings and the head are a wee bit heavy....
My mom made the head and she said if Kid didn't end up wearing it not to tell her since it took her so long to make!

The baby is definitely a little cutie, that was her looking out the window at Kid. She was a little overwhelmed by the party though!

well I just had a cup of coffe and a cupcake... I kind of want to puke from all the junk I ate today... will get back on the horse tomorrow!

Friggin awesome medusa costume -- so intricate, with tongues and everything! Loving it! Nice work!

thanks guys!

the best moment was when a classmate showed up and Ruby answered the door and the mom said to her daughter "OH! She's not a princess.... she's something different..." It was hilarious, the daughter of course didn't care, but you could tell the mom was shocked/disturbed by it.

Ah hahahahaha!!!

Love the costume! Looks like it was a lot of fun. And most of all I'm glad it's over for you.

and baby furious is adorable!
(p.s. my perceptions of my kids do and what it "means" has totally evolved from the 1st! lol)

That is the best costume I have ever seen on a five year old. God, when I saw her yesterday she actually looked like she was about to turn five! I feel like she should be more like three or something. :(
Baby was especially adorable; I can't believe she can walk!

Thanks!

And yeah she is definitely looking older these days!

I can't believe she can walk!
Tell me about it! It is like this weekend she thought hey I'll try it and today she can just do it. She doesn't practice things much before she does them... Kid was the exact opposite!
