This Week The Plan

Baby is a clingy nightmare. I'm trying to get something up...

This week I am really trying to buy as little as possible. I still have lots of stuff in the freezer and I really want to stop stock piling!
Menu:

Monday - Penne w/ Turkey Meat Sauce & broccoli

Tuesday - Salmon Noodle Casserole w/ green beans

Wednesday - Layered Turkey Enchiladas (I told you they were good)

Thursday - Turkey & Vegetable Faux Lomein

Friday - out

Saturday - Hamburgers, buns, broccoli

Sunday - Tomato & Meatball Soup

Kid's Lunches:

Monday - smoked salmon, apple, gogurt, milk, water, grilled chicken, mouse bread

Tuesday - hard boiled egg, apple, gogurt, milk, water, hedgehog bread, muffin

Wednesday - hard boiled egg, broccoli, gogurt, milk, water, spelt pizza (from school)

Thursday - muffin, apple, smoked salmon, gogurt, milk, water, pb & j

no school Friday

Diet & Exercise:
I'm going to just do the best I can. I'm going to track my calories and still stick to 1800. I'm going to set up my reformer and get back into the pilates.

Errands & Chores:
Baby is pretty sick. I'm tired. Not much is getting done.

I basically cleaned out the freezer and cabinets this past week cooking.

I have my list started for grocery shopping already.

Hmm, I wonder if we are going to save by doing it this way or feel the need to SHOP more to fill the cabinets/freezer, fridge back up?

Michelle :)

Just wanted to mention that Kraft foods is offering $1000 for a food demo video - and I thought of you!!! Check it out!

I am going to post a recipe for a
7 layer pie. You should try that if you like the enchilada. And I would have left my kids in the car sleeping if they would have ever even slept there.

Claire,
Thank you!!! I'll go check it out!

Supermom,
I'm hoping I can resist the urge to refill them. We'll see..

Out of Hand,
Sounds good... I'll come get it.

lots of turkey!!!

good plan. I am trying to clean out my house of all chocolate and sweets. It would be better for me if it was indeed turkey.

Elizabeth,
Was I using an A-A mug?

Julie,
we got nothing but crap candy for Halloween... it's actually been a let down. It's all suckers.

Ok dude, this may be my favorite video yet (you know, other than the odd middle eastern breakdancing one) because of the glorious phrase "Crazy, badass canadians."

I love it.

And to all the Candian Mrs.F-loving commenters, can you please tell me why Canada is such a blogger paradise? Because I'm ready to pull up stakes and head North. The only thing keeping me in the states right now is our future president.

OK, slight tangent.

But about the allowance -- yes! Fantastic idea. I never had an allowance as a wee kitten, but when I got to about 5th grade my mom started giving me a "school clothes" allowance -- a set sum of money that I got in august to spend as I wished on my new school clothes, and boy did that teach me a thing or two. Starting kids out early in this realm gives them an appreciation of money and its relation to labor. Right on.

Haley,
get ready for my next video... It should be up soon... somethings are going down! I can't even fully state it you'll have to read between the lines.

This is a really good idea....the allowance, I mean. I just realized that I have put Dawson in charge of feeding our dog, but I've never rewarded him for doing this without complaint -- and I noticed that often he does it without me asking (and he's only 4!). I don't know if he's ready for an allowance yet, but maybe when he gets to kindergarten. :)

Yup, totally an A-A mug. First I recognized the shape, then the unmistakable cowboy peeking out around one side, then the cow on the other. I have one in my cupboard here! (Although I almost never make hot beverages at home anymore. Free at work coffee is best!)
