I'm right there with you on having all the financial worry/stress on my shoulders. I've also said to my husband...just today infact...not to spend another dime or I will have to take him down. LOL

Any word on the bonus & raise? Or is it still all up in the air?

You've inspired me to track my grocery spending for the month too. Just last week I went to 4...YES 4, different grocery stores trying to get all the deals. I'm kinda sick in the way that I like to see how low I can go with the food budget. Like playing some twisted game.

I'll have to look into freecycle too. Sounds awesome.

Staci,
see if you've got one. All sorts of random stuff is listed all the time. Most of it I don't want... but when the ride on pony came up?... awesome! The kids will be so excited and it was FREE!!!

Oh I get a little into the twisted game aspect of it my own self ;)

I was totally pissed that I happened to run out of all sorts of expensive pantry staples and I had to spend tons of money on them this week. I felt ripped off!

Oh I love Freecycle... most of the time I use it to get rid of stuff but every now and then something perfect comes along. I got a bunch of great clothes for my son this year for winter/fall FREE! Love it!

I'm so sorry about all the challenges with Kid's school. If you ever want to talk to someone familiar with homeschooling in NC, just let me know and I can put you in touch with my mom (you would really get along great, I am sure!). She homeschooled my 3 youngest brothers, all of whom went on to graduate from UNC–CH. She and my Dad run a home-based business providing standardized testing services for home school families (required by some states).

I totally understand about the financial stress. It's overwhelming sometimes. - Seriously - Hubby just had the ER visit turned into 4 day hospital stay... we don't have insurance. So. I'm right there with you.

Keep up with the great tips. Love 'em!

You definetly deserve a medal for the cuts you've made to your grocery bill! I'm on my way out to do our "big" grocery shop and have some kick ass coupons to use! :-)

You do deserve a medal! I am so impressed how much you have cut your grocery bill. I am working on it, but still spend too much.

You made me smile when you turned to Baby and said, "I don't know what that means?" when she was saying whatever it was over and over again. I so remember those days.

PS Happy to report that my husband was NOT laid off today from his job. He works for a major international computer company (that sounds fancier than it is...he's just another guy there) and the ax has fallen in his location today. I spent the morning crying for some of the other people though who did get laid off. It's breaking my heart. These are families, you know. Some guy who is in his late 50s, has a sick wife and is raising his 3 grandchildren got the sack today. I don't know the guy, but I definitely cried when my husband told me.

I'll be thinking of all of you here on Mrs F's blog...times are tough all over. Prayers to you, Me, Myself & I...totally sucks on the no insurance. Make sure you check into getting financial aid/partial free care on that.

Sorry for such a long, off the point comment.

Free pink pony=awesome

Hi, I haven't ever commented before, but I really like your blog, especially the videos. I admire your honesty with us, it's awesome.

What I do with the pizza dough I make is I just freeze it as a big lumps, and then on the day that I want to make pizza, I let it thaw and rise a little bit and then bake it with the toppings. Works great and takes up less space in the freezer. And it really doesn't take any more time to bake, 10-12 minutes in a hot, hot oven.

Good luck with all of the stuff you have going on right now!

Bean Collins,
Thanks! I was afraid it would take forever to thaw and rise. I'm doin' it. I'm going to make a bunch of dough right now.
