The moment, the very first moment, your eyes looked into mine I loved you in a way I had never loved or known I could. You girls are my everything.
Not a single day goes by that I do not thank the powers that be that you, my dear Ruby, are alive. And of course not just alive as in born... but alive as in you have survived. More than any young little body should have to. But I am thankful that you have... and grateful, so grateful, because not every mother is so lucky.
And Charlotte, my little wild one, I am thankful everyday that you are... that you exist on this Earth and in our home. That you were chosen and came to be. You have touched my heart and changed our family. You are small but mighty and my heart is filled to over flowing.

Happy Mother's Day, Mrs F! You are such a great mom!
Oh Thanks Julie :)
Happy Mother's Day to you too!
P.S. save me......
Yeah, you are going to have to email me tomorrow (or when you can) with the details of your weekend. Unless of course, you do decide to put them up on the blog:)
Happy Mother's Day. I hope you're having a wonderful day.
That's great. I hope you have had an awesome Mother's Day. I love your devotion to your family. Thanks for your nice comment about my miserable day yesterday. I'm sure DH & DD are sitting up there thinking how they wronged me (to borrow a phrase from you) and of all the ways they could make it up to me. Sure they are.
Michelline,
Happy Mother's Day to you :)
Deborah,
Oh you have been wronged. I can remain devoted to my kids since they aren't old enough to cross me yet... although I assure you I am being wronged as we speak! ;)
Happy Mother's Day, Mrs. F. ( I have a Charlotte, too! And I nearly had a Ruby but she looked more like a Katherine.)
Jenny,
I hope you had a Happy Mother's day!
Nice names ;)
Beautiful sentiments. Happy Mother's Day!
Mrs. F, I hope you had a wonderful day, I am sure that with those two girls of your it was just as amazing as it should be; how did you and Mr.F come up with the girls names??? I have to say Charlotte is one of my favorite names, I imagined using it and calling her Charlie...anyway, just curious. Ruby, is also a fabulous name, one I haven't heard in some time and should probably make a comeback based completely on your using it!!!
Again, hope it was a great day, despite the unfortunate bits...
BTW, Ruby was my mother's name, and my great-aunt's name. It's not a name you hear often any more and I'm proud of you for choosing it! Also, Charlotte. Almost gave my first daughter that name.
Deb,
I hope you had a better day than I did!
Kiki,
Ruby was the name I had wanted to name my daughter since I was in high school. I watched a movie with a character named Ruby and I fell in love with the name. It took awhile but Mr F accepted it (it was really non-negotiable). Kid was a girl and I got it!
Charlotte was harder. Since I had had a love affair with Ruby really no other name could compare to that kind of feeling. We both like the idea of old fashioned less common names. (secretly I love Mabel but he was not going to go for that!)
We both equally like Charlotte and it went really well with her middle name (we use my family last names as middles so we knew what name we wanted to use to honor my deceased g'father).
Yes I think Charlie is cute... Mr F does not.
We end up calling her Chars... which makes me cringe to think about but it is just what comes out! Also the kids call each other "Sissy" so we kind of avoid the nickname too much for now.
Deborah,
Thanks for sharing. I love that their names both have a sense of history to them.
We actually trolled the Social Security website checking out the top 100 names pre 1900 to pick out our names!
Mrs. F., Okay, I love that...I think in England they call children named Charlotte, Lotta or Lottie, not so crazy about lottie, but Lotta appeals the the Swede in me.
Thanks for sharing...
