This Week The Plan

I don't have the energy left in my to wrap up last week. It sucked. We still haven't heard the word on the Asheville job. Mr F's parents are gone. I ate way too much and didn't exercise enough.

Onto this week...
After the $130 ticket, the $480 MI state tax penalty, Kid's new glasses, my NY state social work license renewal, & renewing both cars plates last week... talk about cha-ching... I am trying to plan the cheapest grocery week of all time.

Menu:

Monday - Spaghetti w/ mixed vegetables

Tuesday - hummus, pita, turkey & tomato salad

Wednesday - Mr F's 40th birthday!! Triple Berry Pie

Thursday - eggs, toast & fruit salad

Friday - pizza night

Saturday - Brown Sugar & Ginger Salmon, veggie stir fry & spring rolls

Sunday - Tomato & Meatball Soup w/ crescent rolls

Diet & Exercise:
I'm going hard core this week. I really need to get back on the exercise wagon. This week I'm actually going to calorie count and keep under 1900 calories (except Mr F's b'day). I'm also going to do 1 hour of pilates and 4 hours of cardio. Period. I"m going to do it. I'm not weighing myself this week... because I'm sure I gained and I just don't need to know about it. I'm fixing it. I'll weigh-in next week.

Errands & Chores:

Monday - put away clothes, do laundry

Tuesday - vacuum, Target, grocery shop

Wednesday - make pie

Thursday - vacuum upstairs & hallway

Friday - zoo?

Yikes! That is quite the list of "unplanned" expenses for the month.

What part of New York are you from? I am near Syracuse. Ever heard of it?

I am going to make a plan this week ... ala Mrs. F. :)

Jennifer it was a freaking nightmare. I can't believe how much money I had to put out last week.

Before we moved to MI we lived in NYC. I've maintained my license ever since in case we moved back. Also some states have different state to state reciprocity so I have a MI & a NY in case any other place we move to accepts one over the other.

When do we get to hear about the brunch incident? I'm on the edge of my seat.

Ideas for Mr. F for his birthday: alcohol. Something leather, i.e. lovely wallet or jacket. Something design-y and cool. Coroflot always has good gift ideas for the design nerd (no offense Mr F!).

Good for you for getting back on track. I've successfully talked myself out of a cookie today and am trying to navigate the work dinner of pizza -- I remembered I have a salad in the fridge! Sweeeeeet!

Heather,
Oh the brunch incident will be coming up. I've tried to make videos... but I have too much to say and no one wants to watch a 20 min video (or do they?).
Tomorrow. It'll be up tomorrow.

I wish I could help you on the Mr. F birthday gift, but I'm already struggling with Hubby's Father's Day thing. Tickets to something? Ugh... I'm so unimaginative today.

I can't WAIT for the brunch story. Really. Can't. Wait. It makes me feel so normal to read about other people's families.

Oh, and I don't mean "normal by comparison". I mean "normal, because my family isn't the only one".

I turn 40 in a year and a half...so weird, but on to Mr. F...for my mom's 60th birthday we 4 daughters each wrote 15 cards for her so she had a total of 60 cards telling all wonderful things about her, why we love her, etc....she keeps them next to her couch. Could you and the girls, obviously Charlotte is negotiable, do something like that?? Red Envelope can have some neat stuff, I'm sure you will come up with something amazing and perfect, you know him best!! Good luck with the plan... I gained this week, very badly, got to get back on track myself!!!

I've come up with a gift... but mums the word on that front!

Kiki,
love the card idea.

I love that Mr F wants pie for his b-day. I always ask for an apple pie instead of cake. Yum!
